With a game in hand and Hibs still to play at home we won't be relying on anyone. EDIT: In fact, isn't this contradicting?

Fuck Sellic. We bottled it the other night and so did Hibs today. Even if we were 5 points behind right now we'd still have fourth place in our own hands.

I am really looking forward to this game and have been optimistic for a while but now that kick-off is approaching I'm being realistic in predicting a 2-0 loss. Maybe get a goal but I think we will lose by one or two. Hope to fuck I am wrong cos it could be a great night but there will be a backlash, not one that will be that great cos sellic are pish... But our form the last two games has been poor and we're going to have to at our very best to get anything.

With the h**s likely to win the title in the next few weeks they will probably make the Old Firm game either first game after the split or 2nd last, I would think. This will avoid a title party at the tattie bowl. If I was in charge I'd stick the game in the most possible week of them winning the title. However I would make sure Glasgow and surrounding areas are evacuated by non-OF fans and let the battle begin. Let the fuckers fight to extinction or at least turn back the clocks to the times that they love to sing about.

Hopefully we'll come out and get an early goal cos Hibs are winning and in the space of 20 minutes our priority has changed to 'stay above Hearts' rather than 'consolidate 3rd place'.

My thoughts exactly. You don't get to see the Mighty at Hampden often so we made the most of it. Don't remember it much but we got more cargo for the bus home and spent the rest of the night singing Motherwell songs in the Waverley in Wishy. Great day out!

I'm pretty sure it's cup finalists over 5th placed team in the league. There was a bit of debate about this when Gretna got into Europe and got pumped by an Irish mob and the SFA wanted it changed but I think UEFA just reiterated that the cup runners up get the spot. (IIRC)

Would bite their hands off. No returns, no refund Mark's been a great player for us but for himself and for the club this seems like it would be a great move. I can't see him improving any more whilst at Fir Park and he could become a good defender for Scotland with a bit of experience of playing in a European league. As for ourselves, £500k is a good offer for a player who is out of contract in a years time. We also have a couple of youngsters who are ready to come in and take his place.

I agree with Frazzle to a certain extent... I've never thought Hammell, Smith, Corrigan, Reynolds were good enough for international football. But then again, the people who do get called up haven't been much (if any) better. I'd be fearing the worst if I saw Stevie Hammell lining up against the likes of Arjen Robben in the last qualifying campaign. And that's what you've got to consider as 'international class'. Unfortunately Scotland doesn't have the players to compete at that top level (bar the odd result like against France) and Reynolds has been a consistently better defender than Gary Kenneth but I think it says more about the standard of players we have in Scotland than it does about the standard of players we have at Motherwell. A lot of our players past and present (Hately, Reynolds, Hammell, Clarkson...) would get a game for almost any other SPL team. But unfortunately that doesn't, for me, make them good enough for international football.

I'd be one of those who think people overrate Corrigan but I think that's only cos after his injury he never hit the same heights again. Really thinking back, he was a class act. I remember he defended a three-on-one at Fir Park and put in a great tackle to win the ball and play it out of defence. As MJ says, he didn't get called Kaiser for nothing, he was a classy defender.

I sat in the h**s end last season at the game where Sutton scored a screamer. My cousin played with their Under 16's so we had a day in the players' lounge with free booze and grub. I'd never been to Ibrox as I refuse to give them my hard-earned so I went along and it wasn't too bad. Probably only cos Velicka's missus was sat in front of me and she is a pretty tidy piece of Lithuanian merch. EDIT: The H-word is still banned on here?
