Just got round to listening to the post match interviews from last night, and it's nice to hear the obvious affection Terry Butcher has for Motherwell. Just gave a wee mention that it's always nice to come back to Motherwell and it's a great club. I'll always have a soft spot for the big man with how he stepped up to the plate in dark times and that night at Easter Road in the CIS Semi-Final typified the rapport he built with the fans.

Aberdeen are 2-2. Jammy gits. Hopefully we beat them to the next round. About a minute left...
  3. Changed days, it helped me discover drink and girls. I don't think BB camps are what they used to be!
  4. With a new manager, a new team, away to a newly promoted side in a league our new manager has never been part of? Probably for the same reasons we lost our first leg's in Europe to Llanelli and Flamurtari. This time JG turned the game after watching for 45 minutes. I'd say that's to be commended rather than frowned upon.

    Yesterdays Chants

Personally I think responding to Hugh Keevins is worse than chanting that Mark McGhee's a paedo

Sorry to highlight this but it's the best use of asterisks I've ever seen.

    Chris Humphrey

There's always matters arise on here that put football into perspective, and this is another. All the best to the Humphrey's, hope your family are healthy and well.
  8. Best when they're still warm I just spent the best part of 40 minutes reading through this thread as I was at a wedding yesterday and hadn't heard anything about the match until now really. I feel a bit sorry for GazzyB, taking a lot of abuse yesterday when everyone was on their high horse cos at the end of the day I can see where he's coming from. There has been a huge over-reaction by the sounds of it on here. Fuck Mark McGhee, he's maybe not a paedo but fuck him, if he's annoyed by what a couple of hundred angry fans are singing at him, then still fuck him. Maybe the chants are OTT, but so are many many more football chants around the world, and many worse have been sung at Fir Park. I think you would have to be deluded to be embarrassed over how fans of our 'family club' have behaved, as it happens at football, end of. The press brining up the F***** carry on is just genius, though. We're getting quite used to digs being thrown our way in the papers, but I do find it quite funny when they decide to to make stuff up. The only decent thing to come out of the press this weekend by the looks of it is the quote from Mark Reynolds. Tap man!
  9. Works fine for me on Chrome.
  10. Found it, knew I hadn't chucked it out
  11. Haha I wasn't having a moan about it, I find it pretty funny that for years we've not had a clue what the announcer's been saying. Just wanted to know the 50/50 winning ticket, though since posting I don't remember what I've done with mines...
  12. Aye I know, but having bought about 5000 now I'm due one Nah it's just out of interest, with the loudspeakers being quite shite I think everything that is mentioned should be subtitled!
  13. I missed the Half Time Draw numbers, are the published anywhere?
  14. I was expecting a bit of a bigger crowd today, especially with a good number of Killie fans making the journey, but the folk who were at the game created a good atmosphere. I think today highlighted what negative affect the Fir Park stewards have had on the atmosphere in recent years, though.
  15. Something I've been saying for a while now as well. In fact if it meant relegation because we were playing attractive football and blooding a lot of youngsters I wouldn't be too disheartened at all. If it's a results driven business (which I agree it largely is) then what really is the best result we can hope for? A 3rd place finish in the great league that is the SPL? Really the biggest 'reward' we can get from supporting Motherwell, pride and all that aside, is a good cup run/win or a wee stint in Europe. So I'd much rather we played entertaining football, even if it means not doing great in the league, than watch most of the shite that has been on offer at other SPL clubs in the last few years.
  16. I don't think there's too much fans disputing the fact that the Steaua penalty should have been given. It's the inconsistency that's annoyed us all. 'Big Team Syndrome' as someone posted earlier. I thought watching us tonight was like watching us play the Squirm. Best team for most of the game and got humped!
  17. I'm on Betfair and can't find it on there. It is listed on myp2p as being on there but I'm not so sure.
  18. I really hope this doesn't get ugly! We just can't keep the ball at all..

Took my top back as well, could've held onto it as a collectors item! This could explain why there hasn't been another shipment of the strips sent since the launch (or so I heard). Maybe another company could take the design and make the strips better EDIT: First Diadora now Canterbury. Scotland's national footy and rugby teams will be playing in vests and pants from now.
  20. Could be due a wee chunk of this potential transfer then: Rossco The article says we got a development fee when he went to Cardiff. Would we be due another?

Last night was the first time I've seen the home top up close and I won't be buying it. I know a lot of people on here are being really negative but rightly so, I won't be shelling out £40 for that when I think it looks like a Wishy market ripoff. Maybe the away strip will be of a better quality, but as it stands I will be wearing my Bukta and retro tops this season, which is disappointing since the new design is pretty good.
