  1. Using the type of formation and tactics we did on Saturday work brilliantly unless the other team scores, then its bum oot the windae.
  2. Echo all thats been said above. Totally in command in the first half and could have been 2 or 3 goals up. United upped their pace in the 2nd half which I expected but to lose 2 goals like that is just not on.Showed Ramsden's lack of pace up a bit and quite a lot of United's attacks were coming down that flank. Weathered the storm and came right back into the game and could consider ourselves unlucky not to win over the piece. A special thanks to the United catering staff for charging £2.50 for a soft drink poured from a 500ml bottle into a paper cup, possibly the most flat, warm revolting drink I've ever had at a game. To be fair though it was worth it when the wee blonde haired girl behind the counter asked me if I would hold my pies till she grabbed my coke.
  3. Could be wrong but I'm sure I read somewhere that Dundee Utd have changed the security company they have been using so might not be as bad this time, alternatively it might be even worse?
  4. That puts a different slant on it then. Didn't see who done it but the fine would be for an object entering the field of play and if it wasn't a Motherwell fan who did it then we surely can't be fined. In saying that, speaking to one of the polis who told me that they were summoned from Ibrox by the St Mirren security staff and were told that there was some sort of riot going on so came in mob handed
  5. Agree with all of that and the person responsible for throwing the smoke bomb onto the park has in all probability just cost the club a £5k fine.
  6. Similar type of game and performance as the first game of last season at Ross County only this time we come away with 3 points. That'll do for me. It will take time for this new team to gel so a bit of patience is called for and i have every confidence it will happen. Methinks there will be plenty more games like this through the season as teams set out more defensive formations, hope I'm wrong though.
  7. Someone on P&B saying we've got some guy Bradley Pitchard from Charlton training with us. 5'7" Zimbabwean midfielder. Could he maybe be a right winger???
  8. The ones in Larkhall are. Looks as fit as fuck then. Forgot just how tall he is, absolutely towers over the majority of the squad, no as tall as Nielsen right enough.
  9. Still negotiating a deal and is continuing to train with the squad. Looks as fit as a butchers dog btw
  10. Nothing will happen on the transfer front until McCall comes back from his hols on Monday.
  11. My take on the whole saga is that perhaps McCall s looking to move back down South. I don't know what his family circumstances are but I would imagine his kids are in their teens and maybe they are putting pressure on him to move back closer to friends and family? Yeah, he's maybe turned down Sheffield but I,m sure there will be plenty of jobs come up during the season in the North of England area and I think he will continue to be linked with every one that comes up so what we have gone through in the last few days may well be repeated countless times. I don't go with the theory that he's holding out for the Sevco job as I can't see Fat Sally being replaced anytime soon.
  12. looks like we're either slashing the wage bill or freeing up money for all these new signings from the English Leagues
  13. I had a mate who takes a Scout group who went along with 2 other adults and 10 kids, the first time any one of them had been at Fir Park. None of the boys had any sort of affiliation to any other club and they were all raving about the atmosphere and asking when they could go back. The only negative comment from them was the price of food and drink which we all know is extortionate although we buy it every week anyway. However to young kids who don't know that, it is a big shock to their system and most of them just didn't bother buying anything. The ones who did were having to queue for up to 45 minutes(at least one of the Scout leaders had to). The idea of free tickets is that the cost is partly offset by kiosk sales and we have to get our act together on that one when we repeat the experiment.
  14. I wouldn't be surprised if Rangers are talking to more than just Nicky Law from our current squad. Hately and Humphrey immediately spring to mind.
  15. To be honest , I think he can do a LOT better than that but you never know.
  16. There was a supporter beside us in the disabled section in the lower tier waving a flag (with a stick) for most of the game.
  17. Don't all gang up on me now but looking at the voting pattern, the vast majority on here have said that they will either renew their season tickets or PATG in some form so we're hardly sending an emphatic message to the board that there is some sort of massive fans revolt at the way they intended to vote (and subsequently voted). If the voting on here is reflected through the fan base then it would appear that not a lot of fans would actually stop going to the games which to me suggests that most couldn't really give a flying fuck one way or another and are only interested in watching the 'Well. Then again I could be wrong!!
  18. He's also one of our best defenders at corners

    Dundee Game

Never in any danger playing in 3rd gear, great atmosphere, good goals. can't ask for much more than that. "Bomber, Bomber gie us a wave" was classic
  20. Well. it certainly wouldn't be the first time that's happened to you.
  21. Must be quiet over on Kerrydale Street /Follow Follow.
  22. Basically, when it comes to football and Motherwell FC I have no principles and will go and watch my team no matter what shit is thrown my way. Not seeing the 'Well at the weekend would be like not having sex on a Saturday night
  23. Good battling display on a heavy pitch which took its toll in the 2nd half on some already tired legs from Wednesday I think. Unless I missed something in the 1st half, Higgy wasn't given a foul against him till the 58th minute (which got the biggest cheer of the day) despite Webster/Wilson spending all day with their arms round his neck.
  24. Anyone else notice Hooper constantly grabbing shirts, pulling players back and backing into defenders Maybe we should seek "clarification" from the SFA. And that dirty wee barsteward Kayal, never in a million years will he be a football player, he was in there for one reason and one reason only, to kick fuck out of any Motherwell player within a 10 yard radius. All the more funny then when he goes mental when he gets some of his own medicine dished out to him. After Saturday I didn't see that coming but that is life following the 'Well. Proud of every one of the players, roll on Saturday and the same again.
