  1. Just to let everyone know that the collection raised over £1200 which will go a long way to pay for the upgrades needed to the disabled facilities
  2. It's because they would be sitting right above the wheelchair section and in the past (albeit when we've been playing Rangers and Celtic) we've had to put up with people banging on the roof of the shelter, having stuff thrown on top of us and the verbal abuse that seems to be the norm. I would like to think that it wouldn't be a problem when we play other teams but who knows.
  3. The Disabled Supporters Association will be having a bucket collection at tomorrow's game to raise funds for improvements to toilets and access for wheelchairs. Any loose change would be most welcome.
  4. Reminded me of playing football on a beach in Tenerife
  5. My mistake. Theres such a dearth of humour on here at times it’s sometimes hard to spot when there is.
  6. A friend of mine who works for a company who sells artificial surfaces explained the difference between 3G and 4G to me as:- 3g is made entirely from polythene based products and has no rigidity so needs the black infill to keep it erect. 4G is the same but has a nylon based root which let's it spring up so doesn't need as much infill. An old boy apparently once asked him how you keep it short to which he replied you cut it with a lawnmower with plastic blades.
  7. And hopefully the club have kept all the contact details of those not already known to the club who bought tickets for the final for future mail shots to build on the feel good factor and hopefully attract them back on a more regular basis. Although the new data protection laws probably make that a bit more difficult!
  8. You could also try something like a £10 family of 4 entry deal to the south stand to 2/3 games a season (as long as season ticket holders agreed). Remember something like that years ago (think it was against Dundee Utd) when the place was jumping.
  9. Just spoke to a guy who has flown in from the Northern territories in Aussie for the game. Epic 42 hour journey by road train and plane. I'll never moan about having to drive up to Aberdeen again.
  10. Kipre with a dislocated thumb after the incident on the far side apparently
  11. And McGowan trying to act like a hard man again at full time but actually looking more like a wee fanny
  12. Always better going into any game on the back of an unbeaten run
  13. Hate to say it but if Kipre doesn't flick his foot out and make contact Brown doesn't react and Thomson has no decision to make. I know, shoot me down!!!!
  14. What I noticed was that every Accies delivery into the box was whipped in with pace whereas ours were floated in giving their big defenders plenty of time to follow the flight of the ball and position themselves accordingly.
  15. Kirky Lawson still goes to most home games and is a definite Well fan
  16. No doubt the undersoil heating would have been on at some points over the last few weeks which also takes its toll
  17. Different type of football now. Teams are bigger, stronger, fitter and pack the midfield denying other teams space. Just the way football is going these days, more about physicality than ability plus the fear of the dreaded drop and the financial implications that brings.
  18. Exactly the same conversation about 12 of us were having in the disabled section. Hope Mr Robinson reads these forums.
  19. It's funny isn't it that Celtic apparently have "loads of other goalkeeping options" according to Brenda so why do they keep coming back with increased offers??? Maybe their other options don't actually exist.
  20. Not to me but it obviously does to some of the doom merchants on here
  21. The linesman was standing on the corner flag looking right across the line with the post in the way so he's got that as a guide. Put his flag up right away with no hesitation so I think I "ll go with his view.
