  1. Just back as well and just when I thought we couldn't be any shiter after Friday we go and take shite to a whole new level tonight. I hope to fuck our injury situation is worse than is being stated because at least we would have a good excuse for the performances in the last two games. Our midfield is non existent at the moment so the defence is getting no protection and the attack is getting no support. Add to that Hutchy having a confidence problem and a Goalie who is good for a goal a game then we are struggling badly. I actually feel as bad tonight as I did after the Albion Rovers game and that's saying something.
  2. Maybe slightly off topic but with some of the papers describing the pitch on Saturday as a mud bath, quagmire etc etc , I couldn't help laughing when I saw this picture of Dens Park circa 1936 in a P&B thread on what old grounds looked like before being redeveloped.
  3. Thanks for that Eddie, if you could ask him to contact John McCaskie of our Disabled Supporters Association (via the club) he would welcome the opportunity to have a chat with him directly. His counterpart at Motherwell knows about the situation and I think he has been in discussions with him as well.Hopefully between them something can be done about it.
  4. Yes we did and to be fair to them they always sympathise with us but point out that they have to do what they're told by Celtic That was the son of a good friend of mine and he's never gone back since because of that. Posted what happened on P&B and got nothing but abuse from Celtic fans who accused us of making it up.
  5. Thanks for all your support and comments guys and just to answer a few of your questions. We are members of the Scottish DSA and they are well aware of the issues at Celtic Park and are trying to find a resolution. Disabled fans generally pay a reduced rate at games, normally between £10-£15 for a wheelchair user and their carer, Celtic in fact charge £10. This is because you are generally stuck down the front or behind the goals (eg St Mirren/Kilmarnock )so have no choice over where you can watch the game, Some parks like Tynecastle offer a great view because you are elevated. Ambulant disabled fans generally get a reduced rate if you sit in designated areas (normally at the front of a stand) or are charged the full rate if they choose to sit where they want. Most disabled fans (including wheelchairs)would be happy to pay the going rate if they had a good view of the pitch.Just because you're disabled it doesn't mean you're looking to be treated differently after all. Having stewards blocking your view is not unique to Celtic Park although it is probably the worst example in Scottish football and hopefully we can embarrass them into doing something about it via social media.
  6. Keep saying I'm never going back to Celtic Park because its even more crap if you're with someone who uses a wheelchair. The view was never the best but the Stewards really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome on Saturday.

Still remember the 2nd replay, I was at the back of the terracing and when Peter Marinello scored I ended up at the very front minus both trainers and my jeans. Went home with a plastic bag wrapped round my waist and still don't know how it happened to this day.
  8. I reckon that if we do pump Hearts by a few goals MJC should do some form of forfeit like streak naked across the park or do a karaoke number over the PA system at the next home game.
  9. I used to think it was all down to pricing but have started to think its not just that. Started going to watch the ice hockey at Braehead Clan where ticket prices are £18/£16/£14 so not that cheap yet they just posted their highest ever attendance last week. It's certainly entertaining with all the music etc but no more than the footie IMO so why are their attendances going up? Think it's because they're not competing with any other teams in the area and are attracting fans from all over the West of Scotland unlike football where it is dominated by the Old Firm.
  10. 2nd !!! Back to familiar territory hopefully no more silly season on McCall
  11. Definitely yes, if just to save us a fortune in replacing broken seats.
  12. Absolutely spot on!!! Adams sounding as if it was the Alamo or something instead of some half chances and comfortable saves. Oh and the ref had already blown for the foul before McLean got his head to it
  13. Interestingly enough was listening to the Radio Clyde phone in tonight (yes I know I'm a sad bastard). Hugh Keevins saying in response to a text that nothing was said in the media about Motherwell fans wrecking NDP that he did not witness any broken seats at the game???? Maybe he couldn't see them for all the smoke.
  14. I've been asked to let everyone know that the Disabled Supporters Association are having a bucket collection on Friday night at the Celtic game. You've probably noticed all the improvements that have been made since the close season with shelters being built for both the home and away supporters. These have all but drained our funds and we are trying to raise more for the next round of improvements and are asking for your support. Any funds raised will be greatly appreciated and go towards improving facilities for disabled fans and hopefully improve the general look of Fir Park.
  15. What I'm looking for is a PERFORMANCE not even bothering about the result, so that the players can prove to the fans (and more importantly to themselves) that Saturday was nothing more than a blip and that we're not on an even slippier slope than we think. If we see another lacklustre performance then I will be extremely worried.
  16. Calf injury apparently and didn't want to risk him on the artificial pitch
  17. Brilliant!! Why not march over to Douglas Park with all the flags an banners in full flow as well
  18. Clyde FM were saying the crowd was 3714. Didn't look as much as that to me tbh.
  19. I agree that it would reduce costs but not as much as you would think. Having previously been involved with a Junior club who was thinking about going down the 4g route, I had many quotes from installers and companies looking to maintain the pitch once installed. A straight forward installation (which Fir park is not because of the slope) would cost in the region of 400k so Fir park could quite easily be double that or even more. It's not just a case of once its laid you just give it a brush now and again. It has to go through a process of chemicals being applied to keep bacteria under control and prevent build up of mildew etc. They are only playable to about -7 then they freeze, only way to combat that is applying an expensive anti freeze solution. Heavy snow has to be cleared which is ok if you have the means to lift it and the transport to dump it somewhere safe, again quite expensive. Plus its pish to watch and play football on.
  20. To sum up, we have one bad result and the players and management team are all pish.
  21. And they are our more ahem "mature" fans as well who probably do piss their pants on a regular basisand should really know better as they will have seen us play a hell of a lot worse in their time.Heard one arsehole shouting "McCall you don't know what you're doing". Really? that's why we're sitting third in the league is it. One poor performance and they all crawl out the woodwork, christ knows what it would have been like if we had actually lost
  22. I just wish we would play our natural game and let the opposition worry about us instead of tinkering about with formations that the players are not comfortable with. Twice we've done it this season and twice we've been rank rotten.
  23. I give up Zsar (sorry Steelboy) 3 clean sheets in 13 and that's down to McManus? Faddy was always going to be a calculated risk (that might yet pay off) 2 career 1st division players that practically every other team in the SPFL would have given their eye teeth to sign (again based on their performances in the SPL last year)
  24. Are you honestly saying that McManus isn't worth the money he's getting? Are you also saying that going on Faddy's performances last year you wouldn't have re-signed him for this season? Are you also saying that you wouldn't have snapped up probably two of the best midfielders in the country based on their performances for Ross County. Thankfully the Scotland under 21 manager doesn't share your views on Kerr either. We're all entitled to our opinion I suppose.
  25. Get at their throats from the kick off score an early goal and watch their heads go down, game over before half time. Youthful exuberance can only carry them for so long.
