  1. That's going to split us right down the middle. Half will love it half will hate it.
  2. I was surprised he didn't mention the recent attempts to improve fan participation. The appointment of the fan liason officers and the Well Society asking fans for ideas on how to improve things within the club was worth a mention. To me that indicates that the club recognised the issues and are at least trying to improve things.
  3. Some little snippets that explain a few things that led to lots of speculation online and in some cases unfair criticism. eg Mark McGhee who turned down the CEO job was rumoured to have not liked the set up at the club when in fact it seems it was because his partner ultimately didn't want to relocate to Scotland.
  4. The Gunners have a bit of a record for recalling on loan players from one club then putting them out on loan again to another. Hopefully our season loan deal is watertight with no recall option.
  5. Always good to get something at Easter Road but by christ that was a brutal watch.
  6. This is going to be an absolute shitfest.
  7. On the plus side they all seemed to be enjoying themselves in Club 100 tonight.🥳
  8. Me too. Remember thinking why couldn't he do that for us.
  9. Suspect the rumours started with this. Not sure if its one of those spoof accounts or not.
  10. Looking around Hearts Hibs and Sheep forums no-one seems to fancy signing him especially if there's a fee involved.
  11. We'll need a defensive display akin to the one at Celtic Park to get anything from this game I think.
  12. You could also ask the question if we bin Kettlewell would his severance package mean we wouldn't have the cash to go out and improve the squad in January.
  13. When I said their "usual" penalty I meant the one that never was and would never be given against them.
  14. One question for everyone who wants to bin Kettlewell. What out of work experienced manager is currently out there who would get more out of the current squad and improve it in January. I'm on the fence but genuinely cant think of anyone.
  15. Don't think we'll get pumped tbh. Watched their last 2 games and they created next to nothing in the way of clear cut chances despite having the bulk of play. They'll get their usual penalty though.
  16. Aberdeen showed us the kind of tactics you need to stand any chance against them but do we have the players to do it.
  17. Under normal circumstances a draw would be a good result against the Midden but that feels like 2 points dropped.
  18. I'd guess the Board is probably in the same position as the fans, ie a third would punt him tomorrow, a third would give him the benefit of doubt and see how things pan out and the remaining third just don't know what to do.
  19. The shout of the season for me last year by a guy close by was "Van Veen, all you can do is score goals" after he didn't run 30 yards to close down a defender. Kinda sums up some of our support though.
  20. Great idea, then he can reply to his own posts.
  21. For me the real rot started after the Livi game and we qualified for Europe. That was the time for the board to grasp the nettle and offload Alexander as IMO by then he had lost the fans backing with his brand of football but the board in their infinite wisdom couldn't look beyond short term success and look at the long game. That would have given us the carrot of European football to dangle in front of any potential new manager and a summer to recruit new players which might have appealed to a better quality of applicant. Instead they opted for the cheapest, easy, and (in their eyes) safe option and Sligo was the result of that. To be fair though there may have been financial implications at the time that we don't know about but when you look at the money we must have splashed out since on severance pay and the January player sale then would we have been any worse off financially and possibly in a better position than we currently are.
  22. I'm actually going to issue a bit of a rallying call here. Having been one of the unfortunate few who suffered an 8 hour round trip to Dingwall to suffer another 90mins of absolute dross I had made my mind up to give Saturday a miss to save what's left of my sanity. I said elsewhere that I hope Kettlewell gives them the morning off and gets them in this afternoon, locks them in the dressing room and no-one gets out until the current problems are thrashed out. Might not be pretty but I think it's reached that stage now. Having slept on it I now realise that would be the easy coward's way out and I will be there. My worry is that with all the negativity on the forums there is a toxic atmosphere even before the game starts so I think it's important that the fans show their support right from the start and get right behind the team. I support Motherwell as a club first and foremost and the 11 on the park are only the present holders of the jersey.Happy clapper stuff maybe. HOWEVER if they can't get up for this game then I think we're well and truly fucked and I would be one of the first outside the stand shouting sack the board/manager or whatever, but hopefully it doesn't get to that point and we're all talking about a performance and win on Saturday night. Whether or not we stay up or get relegated this season I think a major rethink of how the club operates is needed as we surely can't keep going on the way we are and that includes reviewing every function in the club, listening to every stakeholder and fans views in an open and transparent way and coming up with an affordable and workable medium to long term strategy.
  23. Maybe puting 2 +2 =3 here but that's odd. Usually up within 5 mins
