    Baraclough Out

ZFA, in the library, with a lead pipe!
  2. That was the reason given, although I tend to agree it's a nonsense. If we were trying to keep something under wraps, it certainly was't from Stjarnan, who I think McCall thought we could treat as pre season canon fodder. The rest, as they say, is history.
  3. The pre season thing was addressed in Flow's podcast. Apparently McCall wanted the games played behind closed doors as to not allow the European opposition an opportunity to check us out.
  4. Only a fool would try to argue that the back four has been anything other than honking this season, so I'm not going to. However, I think they are entitled to feel a little hung out to dry. Even the much maligned Straker was trying to bring the ball out from defence on his debut and had to turn back repeatedly as he had absolutely no one to pass to. Teams know that all they have to do is press us high up the park and we will give them the ball, and that's because our midfield is not showing and being completely bypassed, for one reason or another. I don't disagree with most of what you say, but I do think addressing the midfield should be the priority.
  5. I dunno so much. It's hard not to focus in on him as by all accounts he is terrible but the real problem this season has been in midfield. No matter what combination and formation we play they offer almost nothing going forward and are as equally inept at helping out the defence. Sort the midfield and I think everything else will fall into place. I'm personally pinning all of my hopes on Pearson. Even from his brief appearances you can see he adds something. Stephen, if you're reading this, please save us!

The players don't pick the team and decide the tactics. That's down to Baraclown.

Do we look worse than before he took over? Yes Is that a direct result of his influence on the team/squad? Yes Time to get rid.

    Baraclown. That is all.
  9. I don't see the logic in that statement TBH. You'd rather play a team that has scudded us twice already this season rather than the one team in the league who are arguably more shambolic than us? The points were there to be won yesterday and a very questionable team selection has cost us dearly, again. We should have been ready and the blame for not being lies squarely at the manager's door. If Baraclough doesn't sort it out quickly we are going to be down before we realise it.
  10. TBH I think that is how most of our fans will see it. Still agree with the general point the OP was making though.

    Willie Collum

Nothing harsh about it, red card every day of the week. Too many blinded by their dislike of Collum IMO.
  12. I'm a bit disappointed he's chosen not to stay personally. Yeah he maybe struggled a little for form but at times he was the only threat we had. We better get someone in up front pronto cos the prospect of finishing the season with what we currently have fills me with dread.
  13. I'm not sure why the MFC highlights don't show the Erwin penalty incident, as that IMO seemed to be the stronger of the two. Youu get a better view of our poor defending at the corner too. Proxy link
  14. From the highlights Looked a stonewall pen on Erwin, but I think his extra step before he went down made Thompson not give it. Pearson's looked a bit softer but seen them given. Goal didn't look over the line. Have a look at our defending from the corner in particular the angle from behind the goal. At least three players not paying attention in fact Reid is looking at the ref when the ball us played in ffs! We actually looked like we had a bit of fight about us though, thank God!
  15. CAPITAL LETTERS ARE A MUST
  16. Our two centre halfs tacking one another was better imo! Just watched the Celtic highlights, can I just say "Shut down the cross!"
  17. That one was genuinely laugh out loud funny!
  18. I'd agree we were excellent in the first half of that game and it's no coincidence Hammell was back in the side. He showed composure we have lacked all season and we built through the back from him. I really thought we had turned the corner that day. However the second half was just awful and culminated in the most calamitous goal you will ever see. There was nothing unlucky with the result in the end, we blew it. I've yet to see us dominate a team for 90 minutes and the most we can muster is a decent half at the most. I can certainly understand why people would say were were lucky to beat St Mirren twice, County away, Dundee Utd at home, Partick Thistle at home to name just a few. We won those games by playing for about 10 minutes and then hanging on for dear life!
  19. How to be a selling club? Have players other teams want to buy.
  20. Personally, I think the link is tenuous at best. I would argue that our decline has far more to do with the loss of Hutchinson's ability as a player rather than any inspirational qualities he may have possessed. And as far as Faddy goes, in the long list of reasons why we find ourselves in such as mess this season I think his leaving should figure somewhere near the bottom.
  21. That's certainly not how it was conveyed.
  22. How can you possibly claim to know this?
  23. Pressure from Sky or BT to get it on.
