Likeable guy but O’Donnell shouldn’t be starting games anymore. Wilson not much better on other side. Inexcusable to concede the penalty so soon after getting back in to the game. Makes a bit of difference having ball playing midfielders that want to pass the ball forwards on the park in the second half. Andrews and slattery look like they could form a decent partnership while miller is out. Kettlewell will likely continue to play Halliday however. jack vale is our best option up top just now and he goes and stupidly gets sent off. Now we need to watch Tony watt stink the place out for at least another two games.

Not a great performance but a great 3 points. Having three up the park (and a man extra) helped up manage the game a bit better. Not perfect but much I provedfrom Tynecastle. i hope Maswanishe stays injury free too as he’s a joy to watch and a clear match winner for us. Great to see Vale back fit as he looked more than handy and slattery and mcginn too

Sorry as much as I admit Tony watt had an influence on today’s result, he was and has been rotten for about 6 games solid. I would send him back to united tomorrow. He had three good chances to get a shot away today and fluffed every one

Where do start with that today? Tavares was better at fullback a few weeks back than O’Donnell was today. Unbelievably shite (and not the only one!) defence and goalie shaky. Casey gets a little credit for attempting to bring the ball out of defence. Agree with others, that midfield three that started is hilariously bad as a collective. Cannot play football under any pressure whatsoever and don’t protect the defence either. Tony watt will not do either, loses the ball most time he takes possession and doesn’t offer much of a goal threat.

Ps I’m sure Chris Graham was the ref who didn’t know whether a cup tie went straight to penalties or not. He’s easily the worst I’ve seen this season. Red card and penalty apart, stopping play for virtually no reason time after time
