  1. I’m sure it’s they three plus a new finance director. I will endeavour to find out
  2. What would happen in the event of (and this could now conceivably happen) the investment was rejected by well society and the current exec board resign? where does that leave us? this is not a dig at those who would reject investment , as I would vote for this too given the detail presented. the could get very messy very quickly
  3. well Societys initial statement in full
  4. When it comes to discussing options, if it suggested that they can offer a credible alternative, the well society need to be fully transparent and outline how much has been generated in fundraising up until now excluding subscriptions.
  5. Offer a contract to mcginn for another year, the rest out of contract can go. Try and get gent back next season and if rumours are true about Halliday signed for next year find a way to find him another club. the rebuild needs to be better than last years.
  6. There was a good bit of discussion about Kettlewell on radio Scotland yesterday. Craigan, who was covering our game, mentioned he spoke to Derek weir at the height of our winless run, and Derek advised his it was a close call to pull the trigger on Kettlewell but ultimately it was decided we as a club required some stability, notwithstanding about half a dozen managers and assistants being on the payroll at the same time. I’m glad that it’s turned out well, and I say that as someone who would happily have had him gone around December. The ‘pundits’ unanimously agreed that the club deserved enormous credit for the handling of the situation. However as John Boyle once said ‘one minute you’re a peacock the next minute you’re a feather duster’ if we have a bad start to next season then the discussions could be had again. But that’s football I guess and not unique to our club
  7. I hope Andy Halliday hasn’t signed a pre-contract for next season. If so we should be cancelling it pronto. Can’t see how he’ll be any use to us next season. He’s miles off it. some of Davor’s recent performances have been poor too. We may need a full set of starting midfielders next year if Miller is inexplicably sold. I would be happy with Casey mcginn and blaney next season rotating around a new commanding centre half. kelly’s times up
  8. I think most if not all would be on board with well society remaining with 51% plus with additional investment. the numbers being banded about don’t seem credible to me. In the unlikely event that they are, then 1) it should be rejected, and 2) someone’s arse should be grass for leaking the info at this stage in the process
  9. This should be Kelly’s last performance terrible goalkeeper
  10. I don’t but certainly ones that the manager wants to keep
  11. Great goal that. Excellent ball from O’Donnell
  12. James Scott is truly shite. It’s a sign of how appalling our season has been if we are a dozen or so points below a team with Scott and mandron as their strikers
  13. Kelly should be saving that. Appalling defending too
  14. I would agree with many others it was a bit of a mess on Saturday - looked baked from under soil heating. Hopefully the rain makes it a bit more slicker tomorrow night
  15. We are still short of quality in the final third. not a dig at Bair btw as he was really good again today. Paton, whilst having a decent game today, will not do in that advanced position. Far too slow. The game was crying out for gent further forward or Nicholson but neither happened but for a minute
  16. If we hadn’t spunked the budget on a team full of defenders we could have focused on a half decent forward, similar to biereth
  17. Yeah would prefer a right back. Montgomery a clone of gent - good going forward suspect defensively. Maybe the intention to push one of the wing backs further forward 2nd half of season
  18. That toe-curling montage may well that be that bad that it incredibly turns out to be successful
  19. What’s the tipping point for you? Not trying to be obtuse but we are probably on the worst run of results in my 40 years plus supporting Motherwell. He’s traded away all our options to play a different way. To go in a season with not one senior winger was incredibly naive. Furthermore the word salad pish he was spouting to the media after the game was a sacking offence in itself. Essentially saying we shouldn’t have been trying to play the ball out from the back (we shouldn’t have btw) but he was actually encouraging it
