Lasley (and Pearson) blew hot and cold yesterday and in the last 20mins both were non existent. Grimshaw was effectively a 1 man centre midfield by that point. Lasley will be cut some slack because he was just returning from injury and Pearson also for laying the boot into that cunt juankerr. Hammell was a yard away from conceding the most unnecessary penalty ever seen at fir park too and like the poster had said did the same in the final minute for a corner. So I don't think he was unreasonable with his assessment of yesterday. However it has to be said hammell was a big improvement on chalmers against caley

Don't agree although law has been decent of late, Hately was better and given an unfair time of it at Motherwell more probably to do with who is father was. He was a very capable full back. That wage thief you referred to had something like 12 assists the season we finished second. It was said often enough that he didn't fit into our rigid 442 formation and certainly wasn't a left winger but that was McCall fault for signing him and playing him there. Inverness play a system that suits him he's better playing centrally.

What does work in our favour is we have different options upfront for different games. We have five decent strikers at this level (plus Clarkson) who all offer something different. If we can get the service right, and tighten up the defence, then we should be comfortably safe this season. It's a big if however. But I think McGhee the man to do it.

Both barraclough and craigan had said none of the youngsters were ready to start regularly in the first team. If anyone is likely to know its craigan. Worryingly, while we are on the topic of youths, I have heard that there is a short to medium term change in focus from developing our own right through the teams to trying to cherrypick youngsters from other, less resourceful, clubs to address the lack of quality coming through our ranks. This is an acceptance that our current youth setup is not delivering what it should. One of the clubs believed to be targeted was Livingston but they have had their most promising youths within their academies for years and we can't afford the compensation for any of them.
