  1. A mark Mcghee a day keeps the doctor away
  2. Whilst Paul dickov wouldn't be my first choice, when you compare his managerial cv at club level to our other recent managers at least equals all others with the exception of Mark McGhee
  3. See while you're there - check to see if they have any 2nd hand scud books in stock
  4. I don't know who is on the shortlist nor the numbers involved but I've heard that Simo represents too much of a risk at this moment in time. This added to the fact that we would have to pay compensation makes me think it won't be him
  5. They all tell fibs - who is it this time?
  6. Albion rovers? Cowdenbeath? That's his current level these days
  7. They are joint bottom of chanpionship
  8. Must have only watched the first 20minutes when we were shooting towards east stand
  9. Grimshaw got 'skinned' at least twice in the first 15mins but got better as the game progressed
  10. The only way I feel sorry for him is because he's been asked to play in a 2 man centre midfield. I can just about accept him playing deep in a 3 man midfield but now he's woefully short of the standard required when playing 442. He gets in to horrible positions on the football park, he's a mile late getting to his man as a consequence he gets turned for too easy and is a mile late in the tackle (someone's going to get a sore one shortly). His passing is also way short of the standard required. He's been a great servant to us over the years but if we want to move forward as a team, and be in better control of possession in a game, he needs to be replaced with someone better. One of my major gripes with barraclough is that he had nearly a year to do this and failed miserably.
  11. I agree and would add that gannon implemented his playing style whereas Barra never even came close to it.
  12. We have a billionaire owner but we won't be throwing hundreds of thousands pounds on compensation to anyone. What are simo's strengths / weaknesses as manager? Also your ex national team manager mixu was watching our game yesterday and is strongly linked. What do you think of him?
  13. It was a joke they don't exist - Piotr van der tobin was one of the names mentioned
  14. Just about deserved 3 points today, wasn't pretty 15mins spell in first half and last 15mins 2nd. Looked to be have better shape and looked better defensively. Ripley - decent game though may have been culpable at thistle goal. Distribution ropy but when it mattered most came and collected crosses at the end. Grimshaw - all over the place positionally in first 10mins but settled in to a good game. Kennedy - poor distribution and dodgy start but was a colossus in 2nd half won absolutely everything going. McManus - much improved pergormance Chalmers - ok though struggles badly with pace. Ainsworth - good game 2 assists and had 2 other wonderful runs that nearly resulted in goals. Lasley - improved today with centre midfield partner alongside, tackling becoming a worry though someone going to get s broken leg soon. Pearson - surprise return. Good start then tired as expected in second half. Johnson - missed an early chance and seemed short of confidence afterwards though worked his socks off. McDonald - goal glossed over what was a hopeless performance. Moult - got kicked up and down the park but put a shift in Subs Leitch - strange first sub but got wired in Thomas - frustrating, one paced Fletcher - another surprise return put himself about
  15. Jackie McNamara got hung by his own rope. He was due a cut of every player he sold therefore was actively touting every decent player in the first team after a few games
  16. Ainsworth closely followed by Kennedy. McManus much improved too
  17. Big mixu taking notes in main stand preparing for interview
  18. I'd be very surprised if we are playing 352 with ainsworth and Johnson as wing backs
