Unatural arm position ? i am still not convinced having watched thw highlights a few times. It looks like his arm was barely away from his body whats unatural about that. i can see the argument if it was at a 45 degree or more angle but it was not, it was ball to hand, no way for the player to avoid it, no intent, never stopped a goal. So for me never a pen, simple fact is the ref fecked up and cost us the win.
-
If the rumours are true then Ainsworth is away so hes out, Kennedy is a bomb scare Ben Hall deserves to keep his place alongside mcmanus so i would mot have Laing either. Up top Clarkson instead of Skippy, no thanks, the team that started against Accies will do fine.
-
only 1 outright contender, skippy he had a great game.
-
Never liked that tactic of resting players just because its a lower or non league team. Get the 1st choice team out and get right into them and score a few goals. when we are 4 or 5 up then bring on some of the fringe players.
-
never a pen the ref made a complete james hunt of it..was it hand to ball no, was it deliberate no, did it prevent a goal no the ball was heading for the top tier of the south stand..was it a booking no.So what ever way you look at it it was never a pen it was a feckin disgrace of a decision from a disgrace of a referee. still having said that 4 mins into added time we should not be allowing teams to play the ball into the box stop the play midfield, somebody to take a booking for the team was required there.
-
2 points dropped mainly due to an absolute arse of a referee he took the usual standard of Scottish refereeing to new levels of shiteness. Never a foul for Accies 1st goal, Crawford already booked cynically brings down Las and stays on the park, Imrie dont get me started on that obnoxious wee prick. Felt like a defeat at the end but its another game unbeaten, onwards and upwards.
-
Doh I realised that after I posted, hoping nobody would notice.
-
It is if it denies a goal scoring opportunity
-
Not to bothered what the score is as long as we win and keep our run going, that said it would be nice to pump them on their own midden, we are due a result at NDP as it has not been a happy hunting ground in recent seasons.
-
Easy choice Ripley, he had an outstanding game excellent saves at important points in the match, Special mention for Skippy thought he had a great game.

Lets be honest Cash converters is about the level of sponsorship we can attract these days, I can't see many large multi national companies like coca cola lining up to throw large sums of cash at us to advertise their products. Personally I would have no shirt sponsor as I think it ruins the tops but as every penny is a prisoner we have to make the most of every revenue opportunity and find the best deal we can.

could not see that comming but feckin yaaaaaaaaaaas

Faddy straight into the squad today listed as a sub http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/35130133

Lets be honest guys in the grand scheme of things that is Football we are a relatively small club in a small country average crowds from 3.5 to 5k are about as good as we can expect. If you take in all of the various factors the main one being that in Lanarkshire 90% of the football fans support a team based on what school they went to, then we do ok. There are maybe only 6 clubs in Scotland with a larger core support than us, the ugly sisters, Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen and possibly Dundee untd, so we are not too bad. Yes we have dropped a bit in the last 2 seasons but thats down to the team being crap, it will pick up again.
-
I would rather sign somebody with Faddys class and ability than some of the shite we have on our books now, i give you Taylor, Robinson. So jobs for the boys yes i hope it is.
-
The man is a Motherwell legend, he is well past his prime but class is permanent, welcome back.
-
If you are referring to Kennedy yes he was hopeless, hardly won a tackle all game too easily forced off the ball, was all over the place and dived in to concede the pen. I am not writing him off just yet but he needs to improve a bit. Hall had a solid debut and boosted his chances of more 1st team action, competition for places is a good thing for the team.
-
Although we have improved in the last 2 games i cant see anything other than a defeat on Saturday. If we play like we did against Hearts and Dundee then we may get lucky and take something from the game which would be a massive bonus but i think it will be a banker home win on most peoples coupons.

Letting fans buy shares in the club easily and without hassle to eventually have a controlling interest would in my opinion have been a far better and more popular idea than the WS.
-
1 standout from a lot of good performances today, Moult for me he was great today
-
owning and running pretty much the same thing in the context of a football club. If as you say the WS will be the owners with a board of experienced directors running the club, will that board be separate from or part of the WS board? If separate we then have effectively 2 committees each with differing priorities and agendas trying to run the club, how can that possibly be an effective business model?
-
I thought that eventually running the club was the fundamental goal of the WS or has their position changed recently ?
-
Great performance today a deserved win that should have been by a few more goals it was 3 going on 5 or 6 to be honest. Good solid debut start for Hall and Moult was brilliant his work rate is exceptional and scoring nice goals as well, he seems to be getting better each week.

The link still works, just read the 3 brief CV's and I have to say I was not overly impressed by any of them, the 2 people elected seem to have experience in sales and marketing, Optometry products and furniture, so no doubt wanting to run a football club would be the next logical career move. That said maybe the experience of sales and marketing will help to improve the image of the WS and the communication with the members as it seems to have been a bit of a shambles up till now, time will tell how effective they will be and if they manage to attract additional members.
