Thats what he has to look forward to for a few seasons loaned out to whoever will have him until Leeds punt him at the end of his contract.
-
Its all getting feckin boring now, just wish the club would announce who it is then the usual suspects can get ripped into him about how bad a manager he is. Much more entertaining than the latest odds on a random collection of unemployed managers.

We need somebody who is tactically aware, a good coach and man manager, comfortable with the media etc to recognise a players best position in the team and get the best from him. Somebody who can react to changing situations in the game and alter tactics accordingly. All of this has to be learned so hence the need for an experienced manager. IB was brought in no doubt full of good ideas but it became obvious fairly quickly that he was tactically inept, did not respond to changing situations in the game, wrong team selections, players out of position i could go on, but basically he could not cope with the challenges of the job. That's why with the situation the team is in just now we need an experienced coach/manager to get the squad back on track, my personal choice would be McGhee. Valakari is being talked up and on face value he seems to be doing a good job but there has been significant financial investment in the team so i would assume that the standard of players he has are head and shoulders above the rest of the league, that makes his job easier in the respect that the team never gets seriously challenged, so he does not have to react to it etc. A bit like Sally in charge of sevco when they strolled through leagues 1 & 2, would you class that as a great managerial feat? I am not knocking Valakari as i have no doubt that he probably has a good future as a manager/coach ahead of him but at this time i don't think he is what we need at Fir Park
-
According to the BBC gossip page we are talking to valakari, story seems to be in the Sun so it must be true http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34462147
-
Wont be putting any money on it but i would take McGhee ahead of valakari, at this time i think he is the type of manager the club needs, we cant afford any more punts on relatively inexperienced managers
-
McGhee keen on a return to club management according to the BBC, that may explain the odds shortening. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34449702

Terry Butcher is at Newport county currently bottom of league 2
-
Brendan Rodgers just punted by Liverpool, he might fancy a bigger challenge ?
-
That will be the application list down to 74 then, sound like another shit display up there today.
-
sad news i am old enough and fortunate to have seen him play in his prime. Also met him on a few occassions a really great guy, the club has lost a legend.
-
i would take McGhee good coaching credentials and i get the impression he would not take any shit from the dressing room. As for the Celtic gig if and when Delia goes he wont be anywhere near it, they see themselves as global superstars these days, ex players dont fit the profile.
-
why pay the money to go if you dont watch the game ? i noticed on Saturday 2nd half that a fair few of the bois seemed to be facing the crowd for long spells instead of watching the footie, one guy in particular seemed to be more interested in getting the rest singing and clapping in unison rather than doing what he paid in for i.e. watching the game. not knocking it each to their own etc but just seems a bit strange.

Wind your neck in...nobody gives a shit what some random collection of drunken neds got up to at an English ground that the vast majority of us will never see. 99% of the PNE fans probably could not give a shit either, but there are always a few dedicated keyboard warriors like yourself to try to whip up a storm from a non story, keep up the good work.

My thoughts as well, very dodgy, a quick check on Soccer base and i reckon that UNTD have brought in just under 9 million !!! in transfer fees in the last 2 or 3 seasons, for Gauld, cifci, GMS, Armstrong, Robertson and Johnny Russell. Would love to know what percentage of that allegedly went to McNamara personally, as it looks like he never got any to buy new players.

And your point Is ?

Kennedy for me, looked secure all game, never looked troubled at all.

Lasley is 2nd to every ball that's why he is always chasing the game and giving away stupid free kicks, glad we had Pearson back today. -

If they play out their skins as you put it and we win convincingly then nobody will care. If true then It's not the 1st time that players have got a manager sacked and it certainly won't be the last. But if we are sitting comfortably in the top half of the league come May then nobody will care how IB was treated. -
What concerns me a bit about that article is that it seems like mccafferty and Co on the interview panel seemed to be swayed by all of the community club stuff spouted by IB and never thought to look at his record in being able to put a winning team on the park. Hope this changes for the next appointment.
-
FFS He's not even had a game in temporary charge yet and he is getting slated..I feckin despair at some of the comments on here. Honestly we could announce Klopp Mourinho or Guardiola as our new manager and we would still get the feckin negative dross.
-
If Taylor was any good he would be playing regularly for Reading at a decent level, but the reality is he is pish and has been papped out to any club who would take him on loan presumably till his contract ends then they will bin him.
-
Aye right IB managed a league winning side and look how that turned out. How good is is the Finnish league probably on a par with the Irish one, no idea where MVG is so don't know what success he had. We need somebody who has SPL experience,we tried the bold appointment last time with IB we can't afford to make the same mistake now
-
Can't understand this obsession among some supporters to get ex players like MVG who was average at best, valakari again average at best in as the next manager. Both of them like Barraclough have had very little if any success as a manager so it did not work with IB why would the other 2 be any different?
-
To be fair Craigan might be a good choice, decent coach by all accounts, probably well liked in the dressing room, knows the Scottish game, can handle the media.
-
As much as I don't want a pensioner in charge ie McLean, brown, knox, Calderwood etc what we need right now is somebody that knows the Scottish game to come in and do the kind of job brown done when he came in.ie steadying the ship, stop us losing soft goals and get the teams confidence up. Problem is most of that type of Scottish manager already have jobs and are we tempting enough as a club to lure somebody away from the job they have? Is Owen coyle still looking for a job?
