If thats true then fair enough but from the snippets of info on here it looks like the cash may be coming from the WS funds is there definite proof that the club is servicing the loan? I assume the members have asked these questions
-
As a non member and committed sceptic of the WS it seems that the whole focus has moved from the original concept i.e. fans joiing and committing financially to evenually be part owners of the club. Now it seem that all that the contributions from existing and new members seem to be doing is servicing the loan from Mr Hutchison a loan that the club negotiated, i wish i could negotiate a loan spend the cash and get others to pay it back for me. If and when the loan to LH is repayed is the money owed to John Boyle next for the members to pay off, it begs the question that when all the monies owed are repayed will there be any left to run the club, assuming the WS has purchased the majority shareholding by then as was envisaged by the original concept.

What are Mr Hutchisons motives, did the multi millionaire tax exile who has never been near Lanarkshire in years invest because of his good community spirit and wanting to help the local area, or did he smell an investment opportunity with a decent return on his cash if he is getting one, but you don't become a millionaire by giving cash away so he must be getting something fro the deal. I am not saying he is wrong and the club did need the cash but it only re-enforces the point that for clubs to be stable financially they need an owner/investor to put up some cash, hopefully for a return on their investment as was the case with Fergus McCann at Celtic, Community / Fan ownership is a nice idea but for a club the size of ours its not viable, we need a Hutchison, or a Boyle or a Chapman to put some cash into the club, not ordinary fans contributing £60 a year at the new £5/month rate.

Agree with that the whole thing is a shambles, I am not a member and I have no intention of becoming one as I have never been convinced of the benefits/merit of it from the start. I have no doubt that the original concept was sound but it seems to me that it has been implemented and is being run by amateurs, I have said all along we do not have the fan base to make the WS a viable prospect, everybody who wanted to and was financially able to has already joined.

Its on the Sky Platform so I would expect you can, can't remember what channel it is though.

It makes no difference to the courts whether people were charged for whatever they got up to at a toddlers kick about or the champions league final, the main issue is they were doing something against the law so they got lifted, simples

The record generally prints pish but the story just highlights the main issue with these so called ultras. If you have several thousand in a stadium singing, setting off flares etc then rightly or wrongly it looks impressive but in Scotland when we try it with a few dozen "ultras" at most it just looks ridiculous.

not sure he did, there was a lot of talk about him but might just have been his agent putting his name about.

i see Hearts are clamping down on their own so called "young team" http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/34641934

why would he be he was not interested this time.

Thats why managers and coaches get paid a decent salary to make these decisions based on their judgement of a players ability and where they will be most effective in the team.
-
yes it does..they see the players day in day out at training etc so obviously they have decided Law is our best option from what we currently have available. I have said it before if players like Watt etc are good enough and ready for the step up then they will get their chance.

nothing like that, ball came back off Reynolds on the line before Reid tapped it in so perfectly legal.
-
From google re law 11 offside, Being in an offside position is not an offence in itself; at the moment the ball touches or is played by the player's team, the player must also be "actively involved in the play" in the opinion of the referee, in order for an offence to occur.[

I hope he gets the job then he might try to take some of the shit he signed for us down there with him, Robinson & Taylor for a start.
-
FFS guys McGhee is the new manager deal with it and move on, judge him on his record from now on all this shit about what he allegedly did 8 years ago is getting feckin tiresome now.
-
We got Goodman well past his prime but in his day he was a decent player, Blackman also had potential but never showed it. As for the other 3 i agree they were terrible.

A happy Motherwell Fan...thats about as rare as a Rangers tax return on this Forum .
-
its 4 memorable games for me, 1st was the 91 cup final and seeing us win a major trophy, then the cup winners cup tie in Katowice our first European game. The next 2 are the 6-6 game with Hibs at Fir park what a thing of beauty Jutkewitz's goal was and the last one was against Panathinikos, i never ever thought i would turn up at Fir park to see Motherwell in a champions league game.
-
All of this angst, soul searching and mock outrage about McGhees appointment is becoming feckin tiresome, its an open forum and people are entitled to their opinions but in all reality apart from a few precious souls on here, do the vast majority of Well fans really give a Feck what he allegedly done or said years ago, i know i don't. All i am interested in is how he sets up the team, gets their confidence back up and gets the winning mentality back, i will judge him on his actions and results from now, not on what did or did not happen 8 years ago.
-
I know opinion is split on McGhee but he was what th club needed. If Valkari, VDG, Maaskant etc had never played for the club would anybody have mentioned them as potential managers based soley on their records as managers i think not. The club have had their fingers burnt twice now by left field appointments in Gannon and Barraclough so a tried and tested safe pair of hands was required.

The main issue we have is that the fundamental concept of the WS ie fans investing their cash and eventually as a collective owning the club was a non starter, as we dont have a big enough fan base. Now what we have is the money that has been put into the WS so far by those who have signed up is being used to service loan reypayments, possibly pay for club staff (new fitness coach), and who knows what else. So as i see it financial commitments that should be the responsibility of the club have been passed on to the supporters, people signed up thinking they would one day be a part owner not a source of crisis loans for the club. As for Mr Hutchison he could not give a toss about the club, all this community spirt nonsense he spouts is patronising and annoying, he is a millionaire tax exile ffs. I would love to know what sort of security he has on his loan if the club defaults does he end up owning Fir park? The way forward for the club is not the WS yes we probably need an owner to put in some cash, but the club needs to be financially viable ie living within our means maximising the revenue streams and trying to turn a profit. That way we wont need to seek crisis loans from millionaire tax exiles or constantly turn to the fans to contribute more cash for very little in return.

Looking at some of those Twitter comments we really have some arseholes among our alleged supporters, some of them are comedy gold

Pleased with the appointment, he is exactly what the club need right now to get us back on track and aiming for the top half of the table. He has a chance to make an instant impact against Celtic on Saturday, although i suspect whether we win lose or draw, the usual moaning faced Bar stewards will find some fault with him. It will be nice to get back to discussing the footie again.

I feckin despair at some of the pish posted on here, bring back the HOTD
