  1. I hated this year's home strip when I first saw it, but by the end of the season I actually quite liked it. Mind you, I also thought that the liberal sprinkling of harlequin tops among the support on Saturday looked quite good too, so maybe I'm just losing my aesthetic faculties as I age. Oh well, at least I still have my hair.
  2. You can find someone saying almost literally anything on social media. If we re-posted all of the wilder ravings of the worst of the moonhowlers on here we'd all go mad too.
  3. Best bit of content since the Peter Hartley on the wee piano video!
  4. I know he took a bad one in pre-season, and didn't feature until October. Guess it takes a while to get used to the Scottish game too, tbf.
  5. Went for Watt. He's disappointed me a few times this season, but credit where it's due today.
  6. Is your brother part of the club or something? Just wondering if there's some reason he doesn't post on here himself. (Perhaps he does, I'd be none the wiser )
  7. Not that he's our next £3m man or anything, but the more I see of Johnny K, the more surprised I am at how little game time he got prior to Wimmer arriving. There could be many reasons for that, I suppose, and I doubt we'll ever know for sure.
  8. I wonder if he'll get injured just before or just after joining us.
  9. But Sir, Kettlewell started it!! Personally, I'd be quite happy to never negatively mention him again, as long as he returns the favour.
  10. At one point last night with the beer fast running out I briefly contemplated going for the Tia Maria under the sink, but luckily I wasn't THAT drunk!
  11. Waiting for the "YOu'Re 4 pOInTS OFf 3Rd And YoU HOundEd KeTTs!" from his press cronies...
  12. On that we are definitely agreed!
  13. It wasn't misjudged by that much, he was only an inch or two away from getting a touch. And I suspect that even if he'd turned and started running as the pass was played he wasn't getting anywhere near the man before the ball hit the net. But, aye, that in itself is indicative that perhaps his positioning wasn't ideal in the first place. Sometimes, also, you just need to take your hat off to the opposition - that pass from Shaughnessy was perfect.
  14. A few people have said this, but I didn't think so at the time and I'm even less convinced after seeing the replays. It was a perfectly lofted ball, and it's not like he didn't TRY to get his head on it, but unless he was an inch or two taller I'm not seeing much else he could have done there. TL;DR - Casey got my vote.
  15. I have no idea if the club offered Kettlewell any financial settlement, despite him being the one to chuck it, but if they did I hope they’ve cancelled the cheques now!
  16. I somehow doubt he’ll be sticking around Scotland when that time comes 😉
  17. Man who has never been sacked becomes Motherwell manager? Irresistible force, meet immovable object.
  18. There are quite a few who post on both forums, you and me included, and - in my perspective - both forums are a bit different. I enjoy them both, but in different ways. The prevailing wisdom on P&B is this is largely due to the difference between a single-team forum and a multi-team forum. On P&B you are pretty much forced to interact with supporters of other teams, whether you like it or not. This moderates the behaviour of some posters, and makes others worse, but it definitely changes the overall dynamic.
  19. Not delighted, I'll grant you, but St Johnstone fans currently seem to be fairly positive about how Simo's got them playing, despite sitting just one point off the bottom after a run of poor results. Mind you, if things don't pick up for them after the January window, it'll be interesting to see how quickly they turn on him.
