Scottish Cup - Morton at Fir Park 22 Jan
Electric Blues replied to Welldaft Mk1's topic in Club Chat
That's what I said before the game on Tuesday Still, fingers crossed, eh? -
Dundee Utd behind to St Mirren (Watt on the bench.)
-
It's as much about how many places we might fall, as how many places Utd might rise. It would almost be worth plummeting from 4th to 10th if it meant they had to pay us £800k, doubled up to £1.6M to compensate us for missing out on a brief European adventure. Luckily, that particular risky-but-tempting option will never actually be on the table, because knowing our luck we'd overshoot 10th and end up relegated while trying to cash in
-
I'd be delighted with a Tony Watt hat trick in a 3-1 victory while negotiations with Dundee Utd were still ongoing, with each goal adding another £100k to our price for his early exit.
-
What, and risk falling off the edge of the flat Earth in the dark? Not a chance. On a (much) more serious note, 'Well 3-1 Livi. I feel Bevis's name may be on one of our 3.
-
It would only have been brief anyway, until they pumped us by 6 or 7 next weekend. I can't see them being so profligate two weeks running, especially against whatever our fourth choice defence turns out to be,
-
It's arguable whether the "after" picture is an improvement on the "before", but the weather certainly hasn't got any better. Can't help you with the Maddock question, though, sorry.

I don't remember ever being so genuinely torn between two players, with 7 or 8 others running both a close third. My heart says Woolery, but my head has gone for Tony Watt (again) not just for the classiest of match-winning goals, but for his non-stop effort and work rate. Here he is in the 89th minute, nutmegging for fun, splashing about in puddles, and outwitting three defenders to win a throw and retain possession.
-
It's actually strangely heartening to see that Tony Watt hasn't registered a single vote this week, despite playing his heart out and engaging in some weapons grade shit-housing when required. How good must everyone else have been?
-
I've sobered up slightly, and hopefully only temporarily, but I'm a man of my word so I've still voted for Lamie.
-
Get the poll up quick so that I can vote for Lamie before I sober up!
-
I, for one, would definitely pay to watch that!

I couldn't go to the '91 semi-final reply so I was following it via the historic medium of teletext score updates - you know, when the letters "UPD" would appear on the screen when the page updated. We were (of course) 3-2 up when the dreaded letters appeared, but just too early for it to be full time. The willpower it took to press the button on the remote to reveal what I feared would be a last-minute equaliser was almost more than I could muster. The relief on seeing the 4-2 score line revealed was only equalled by the full time whistle in the final itself.
-
"File all of that under inconsequential rubbish!" LOL
-
Thought McGinley and Woolery played really well, but for me it was Slattery's day.

Away and give "yer" head a wobble.
-
I would imagine they've used a bleeding-edge quantum computer to analyse the outcomes across all possible multiverses simultaneously, before confirming that there is no universe anywhere that sees St Mirren finish above us two seasons running.
-
One more goal and we're top 6. Let the happy-clapping begin.
-
We are now bottom as it stands. Let the pant-wetting commence.

I always forget about you proper ex-pats! Leigh Griffiths: Celtic striker sent home from training camp over online messages The Celtic thread on Pie & Bovril is currently coming along nicely...

I made a note to come back to this post when the aforementioned head inevitably unscrewed, I just didn't think it would happen so soon.

Although given the breaking KVV news, I doubt anyone much cares, one way or the other.
