Yes: I can think of Higdon and Moult immediately. Having said that, if KVV got a big payday somewhere at this stage in his career then it wouldn't really matter if his new club's investment wasn't really worth it in the end. Having played for clubs like Scunthorpe and Northampton you couldn't really begrudge a 31-y-o a golden sunset before retirement. Having said that, let's hope he stays and leads us to a cup victory next season 😀.

There's some truth in that. I watched some fans gleefully giving van Veen the treatment when he was subbed against The Tractormen a few weeks ago (someone else mentioned this today) but all seemed to be forgiven the other night. Such abuse is often solved by a good performance or goal. I've never booed a 'Well player yet (despite much provocation 😇), although I do remember shouting something obscene at Bobby Watson during a game at Muirton. I will be surprised if either Holloway or McCann became our next manager. I remember Peter Reid of Everton fame had a very short interview with the club once he saw the available budget and was quite dismissive afterwards. Thought it was just me. In my darker moments I've rationalised that If we go down, at least we weren't playing in a proper Motherwell jersey and it's all been a bad dream. We have an unique, classical strip yet we keep buggering it about. We should take a tip from clubs with a strong identity (like Newcastle Utd.) and do very little to mess it about.
