The game was well before my time tbh but was this fixture not the catalyst for Alex Ferguson having a real destain for us? I'm sure he didn't take the loss well, I think it even got a brief mention in his autobiography.

It certainly was! But as others have said his team were outplayed completely.

122 games over 3 seasons not bad for someone who couldn’t get a game

How many games did Wark play for us?

How many games did Hammell play for us?

How many Scottish caps did Boyd get?

Nothing against Tate but he is not in their class and you didnt even mention Martin Corrigan. I am also old enough to talk about Davie Whiteford and a few others. I will stop now cos I thought Tate was a good Well player and was a bit hard done by at the end.

Don't agree, we have had plenty of full backs that well well received, Tate, Hammell, McKinnon, Boyd, Wark, McMillan.  Plenty of others were rubbish, bur don't think they get any more stick than other poor players.

Tate couldnt get a game for Liam Grimshaw for goodness sake. How can you compare him with the others?

If that was correct, Motherwell want their head looked. It had to be £250k, to make it worth our while to sell at this stage, and to a rival.

I am of the belief that if someone signs a pre-contract I wouldnt want them to play again so I think anything received for them to go is worth it and think £100k is good, although I get that it could be seen as bighting off your nose to spite your face.

That's my recollection too - defo a Monday night. Clearly I'm old too. Need to dig out the history books.

I dont think my memory is very reliable either but if anyone had asked me I would have said WW scored from a shot on the edge of the box which went through a few players and into the net. It was a Monday though agreed.

Yes, just like you posted some years ago Stevie MacMillan, instead of McMillan, don't be a smart arse on spelling unless you are bombproof yir self, tut tut;)

Its not a spelling thing, his name is McVie not McVey. Do you really look back years ago to find a spelling mistake?

    Let the dice roll.

Never shut me up, plus what's that comment a verbal threat of violence, obviously a Turd by name and a Turd by nature. As for Haggischomper, you shut up, who asked you to join the debate, you were as late into it as a Wullie McVey tackle ( he's fae the 70,s for yir info) Jog on now.

I assume you meant Willie McVie

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but were you not pontificating no fans at football and stating you were not attending any games as football was not as important as good health. Seams the worm has turned as you're now going to Dingwall and the cup tie. Horrendous!!!!!

Its over now lets move on

I think if a deal is not done ( I believe one will be) it’s going to help no one. If he plays I can see a backlash from a percentage of the support, if he’s then not in the first team we’ve lost out on a chunk of money for a replacement. It’s ok Alexander stating he will play and that’s fine IF he’s not getting abuse from the stands.

I would think it is more a case of how Watt deals with abuse from the stands and I think he will deal with it fine. Personally I would like him to stay until the end of the season.

Hopefully Drakeford will be dribbling about Scotland being an outlier tomorrow.

This is the guy who made it illegal to buy underwear from a supermarket during the first lockdown. We are not talking about a great intellect.

I gather he talks well of you.

I'm one of those saying no to Shankland. He's just not very good. You make the Watt companion. There was never really a question of Watt's ability, just application and attitude. For me, there are huge question marks over all three with Shankland...

I actually think Shankland is pretty much in the same place as Watt was when he came to us, namely a problem with application and attitude not ability. I seem to remember he scored a ridiculous goal for United from half way, no problem there with ability. However at the moment I think his head is up his arse and if someone can get it out of there they would have a player the same level as Watt.

Hospital admissions are increasing because people are being admitted for other reasons and testing positive for asymptomatic Covid. The ICU number is currently 42.

The figures from England show that sporting events make no difference. Anyone who genuinely believes that stopping football matches which are attended by less than 2% of the population for a few hours a week will reduce transmission has little grasp on Covid or arthimetic.

Pushing people from an outside activity towards inside activities probably increases transmission overall.

    Utter cack!!!!

The Joint Review Group are telling clubs to prepare for full houses after the winter break.

We are 20 days into the Omicron wave and ******'s tsunami of hospitalisations still hasn't emerged so keeping fans out for longer isn't at all justifiable.

I dont think that is correct. Certainly not at either of the hospitals my wife or I work in.
