That’s my thoughts too. Clearly Wimmer was up against it from the off and the squad of utter shite that he inherited was not of his doing, but the players he is picking are simply not up to it and you don’t see things improving any time soon. Personally I’ll be amazed if we avoid the playoffs and you wouldn’t bank on this squad of dross having the ability and fight to win a two-legged tie against whatever Championship side we end up facing. And after that I’d expect us and Wimmer to part company whether that’s on his terms or ours.

Another defeat 0-3

Next week is already a write off imo. Hearts will have their sights firmly set on securing top six and we don’t have the quality to get a result against them. * So it’s going to come down to the post split fixtures and at the moment it’s hard to see us getting any sort of momentum or even a positive result with the squad of players we have. The playoffs are a serious possibility. * I know we won 3-1 against them back in August but that was a long time ago and things have changed since then. Hearts have improved significantly and we have been dismal for months.

Okay mate fair enough. Though it wouldn’t take much to be more positive than me! However I think that any talk of us still being in contention for top six is utterly wild when you look at our form (Ibrox apart) and the squad of dross that we have. Like I said the other day, it’s not happening.

Give it up seriously. You’re starting to sound like James McFadden commentating on a Scotland game when they’re 0-2 down at 70 minutes. “Ye know whit if we score soon we might still huv a chance of gettin back in this”
-
If and it is a big IF we avoid relegation then Wimmer needs to be gutting out about 90% of that squad in the summer because it is largely hopeless.
-
Oxborough needs to be back in goal next week at the very least. Not that it will make much difference.
-
Assume the red was for his studs being up?
-
Big punt up the park, defence all over the place, can’t clear lines, goalkeeper hopeless and we concede. Pathetic stuff.
-
That teams never scoring today.
-
Given that our current options are mostly mediocre at best then Allan Campbell would be a significant upgrade.
-
We have zero chance of top six. We are not getting six points from the games against Killie and Hearts. It’s just not happening.
-
Two poor teams playing on the worst pitch in the league. If there is to be a winner It will come down to who is less poor on the day. 1-0 home win.
-
One goal off but pretty much spot on. Well done MJC
-
The squad is full of mediocre/poor players so it’s no surprise. As you say that’s clearly not Wimmers fault but he’s inherited a shite squad and he’s got a big challenge to try and get a tune out of it.
-
Can see this being a heavy defeat tbh. 5-1 home win
-
He won two Scotland caps whilst playing for us. According to Wikipedia his last one was in May 1990.
-
It’s the type of signing that we could only dream of making nowadays. A key player for one of the Old Firm and still a Scotland internationalist and we sign him for £50k. An absolute snip especially when you consider what he went on to achieve with us while well into his thirties.
-
An absolute bargain of a signing and a top quality player who helped deliver the ultimate success for us. They don’t make them like him these days.
-
From being 0-2 down I’ll certainly take that point. Obviously disappointing not get the win but well done for fighting back.
-
Second best so far and we’ve not come close to matching their intensity in attack. Credit obviously for a quick reply to going 2-0 down but I reckon it’s already too little too late for us today.
-
The most ‘Motherwell’ thing ever. Beat Rangers at Ibrox and then lose the next game at home. Whoodathunkit?? 🤔
-
Which is why I said if that was true.
-
That’s absolutely scandalous if that’s true. He’s our player, we are paying his wages and if we’re resting him for his international sides benefit then it’s a joke.

“We can provide the following update on our injured players. Luke Armstrong caught his pony tail in the door and ruptured his Achilles in the process and will be out for several months. Speedy recovery Luke”
