  1. 11th is most likely but no way is that team winning a playoff so yes we need to face up to it…Championship next season.
  2. Paton and Koutroumbis come in Watt starts up front Seddon on the bench
  3. No doubt there will be the usual clamour from the usual suspects in our support for us to sign him again. Those same suspects who were happy to see us mugged off by us signing McFadden the second and third time and some of them would probably be happy enough if we offered McFadden a three year deal tomorrow. But absolutely under no circumstances should we be going anywhere near Louis Moult this summer. He’s had his time with us and it’s been and gone. It’s in the past so let’s leave it there and enjoy the memories. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up at St.Mirren with Robinson mind you.
  4. 1-0 to St.Johnstone is more likely than the opposite. I genuinely don’t see us winning another game this season.

The problem is that losing, or just not winning becomes a hard habit to shift. And since we won at Ibrox we haven’t looked like winning any game we’ve played and apart from Slattery’s goal at Pittodrie which seems a distant memory now, we haven’t looked like even scoring. I don’t see us losing all five remaining games but at the same time I don’t see us winning any of them either so we are depending on other results to keep us away from 11th.

That’s a club wide issue and has been for too long now. Far too much emphasis on social media and meaningless internet chatter and nowhere near enough on actually doing the business on the park.

Tough run as expected and St.Johnstone at FP on the 26th is ‘must win’ imo other wise we will be in the playoffs. Don’t expect us to get anything at Dens or Tynecastle and then it all comes down to the last two. Trouble is though that this squad just doesn’t look like it’s got a meaningful shot on target in them never mind a win.
  8. Hibs beating Dundee 3-0 which is good for us. Or indeed would be if we could actually muster a goal and a win in our remaining fixtures.
  9. It was never going to be anything else from our point of view. Apart from the fact that we are shite, for as long as I can remember whenever any game is hyped up or is billed as important we never turn up*. We got away with it yesterday because Hearts were also hopeless and Shankland missed a chance in stoppage time that he would have buried last season. We scraped a point but it was more down to Hearts shooting themselves in the foot rather than anything we did to earn it. * I know that there have been occasions where we have won important games but it just seems like we never turn up in such games. Hiya weeyin 👋 Hiya spiderpig 👋
  10. There isn’t one potential fixture that you’d be confident of getting a result from with this team. The first post split game could be St.Johnstone at Fir Park or Hearts at Tynecastle it wouldn’t matter, because we wouldn’t win either.
  11. Well another dismal performance where we offered nothing in attack and were pedestrian as ever. Fortunately for us though Hearts were equally poor and as a result we managed to scrape a rare clean sheet and a point. We need to hope for a kind set of post split fixtures but in truth it’s hard to see us winning another game this season.
  12. Balcombe starts Watt leads the line God help us!
  13. Sadly agree. Our squad is guff and Hearts will have too much for us. The fact that it’s inevitably been hyped up as a potential ‘top six decider’ and all the social media talk of a big day, the sun shining and so on only helps point to one outcome. It’s got disappointment and defeat written all over it.
  14. Certain posters on here will accuse you of the same. Anyway it seems our former keeper had an excellent game and made a brilliant penalty save to keep Rangers Euro dreams very much alive.
  15. Ahh the Hall of the damned. Another old favourite go-to on here for when someone states a view or starts a topic that doesn’t sit well with some. It was like me the other week. I fancied a bank loan for £100k but had no real reason for needing it and no security to put up against it. I went to the bank and made my application on those basis. Very quickly they told me that my application was baseless and I didn’t meet their lending criteria. Now deep down I knew that this was a perfectly sound and reasonable answer but it wasn’t the answer I wanted to hear so restraining my disappointment I simply said “Mr Bank-man, this.is…t-t-t-trolling. It’s trolling. You are a troll and I have strong suspicions that Rangers are the big team you really support.” He offered to give me a letter stating in writing their decision to refuse my application but I told him to stick it in the Hall of the damned and walked out.
  16. Because he’s a foreign coach with very little understanding of Scottish football (and that’s not a slight on him, it’s just what it is) and he inherited an absolute shit show from his predecessor. Like I said it’s just a hunch and I could be totally wrong but I just don’t see Michael Wimmer being here long term.
  17. Because I think he might well chuck it in the summer. Based on nothing mind you, just a hunch but as I said yesterday this just doesn’t feel like a long term tenure.
  18. If we are relegated he will go, I’m pretty certain of that. It may well be on his own terms or a mutual agreement but he’ll be gone at the end of the season if we are no longer in the top flight imo. I actually suspect that he might go in the summer regardless of what league we are in.
  19. We need points badly to keep ourselves away from the playoff spot. Playing a side that are coming off a bad result and who know that they need to win to secure top six does not work in our favour. Had Hearts won yesterday and secured top six their approach to this game would have been completely different and they may even have rested players ahead of the Scottish Cup Semi Final. They may we’ll still have beaten us as we are hopeless but facing a Hearts side who had already secured top six would have given us a better chance of a result against them than facing a Hearts side knowing they need to win.
  20. Regardless of the squad he has or the way he’s used his players I will be very surprised if Michael Wimmer is still our manager come the end of 2025. It just has that feel of short term tenure.
  21. It’s anything but a dead rubber but nothing to do with any silly wee dreams about top six, it’s about keeping us away from the playoff spot.
  22. So Hearts lose today at home to Dundee Utd. That is literally the WORST result that we could have hoped for. Because firstly it’s going to be yet another side coming off a bad result playing against us and needing points. Say no more. And secondly it keeps our outside hopes of top six alive and we all know that that never ends well. I expect the social media team to try and hype this game up all week as a “chance to secure history” and all that nonsense. Videos of players giving sound bites aplenty like Luke Armstrong saying “it can be done” whilst swishing his pony tail. Andy Halliday giving the camera a dead eye stare and saying “it’s time” And Lennon Miller doing a few keepy-uppys and then just nodding. 0-3 Hearts
  23. It’s unlikely that StJ will catch us but as I said they’ve just got a result that we absolutely would not have got. Had that been us playing Celtic at Fir Park today we would have lost by at least two goals. So they will gain some degree of confidence from that. The playoffs for us are most likely. We will lose to Hearts next week and then it will be all down to how many points we can pick up in the last five games. On current form and with the team we have it’s hard to see us picking up many, if any points. Bum status: squeaky
  24. Yip, sickening to see St.Johnstone get a result that we could only dream of and more importantly it pulls them closer to us. Anyone who doesn’t think that relegation is a distinct possibility is dreaming.
