His first start at Fir Park I should say. I read the Twitter post wrong.
-
That’s a grim looking lineup. Not that we could realistically put out a better one but still, just looking at that gives me the fear.
-
Halliday starts again… Andrews gets his first start.
-
You’re not wrong but Wimmer doesn’t have much time to sort this mess out. And if/wheh we fall behind against Dundee on Wednesday night then it’s going to get pretty ugly as the support are scunnered. Obviously on the flip side of that if we score early, play well and win then the picture changes but it’s hard to see that happening with the way things have been going. As I said earlier, Wednesday against Dundee is a huge game.

0-2 More misery
-
Poor stuff but not unexpected. Wednesday night is huge for us.
-
Absolutely nothing. He’s too old and too slow and is more bothered about his future media career than playing the game these days.
-
New manager but it’s the same squad of mediocre to downright guff players. If we avoid the playoffs we’ll be doing well because I don’t see where the next points are coming from.
-
Lighten up.

Casey, Maswanhise and Wilson start, Koutroumbis starts for first time. Andy Halliday retains his place Vorsprung durch Technik

That’s a fair take and you’ll not be the only one thinking this. Only time will tell if this is going to work for us but with the squad he inherits he is up against it straight away. The only thing I would say is that I didn’t see any other appointment that we could have made that would have given us any more reason to be optimistic at this point. I genuinely thought we would have handed the job to Stephen Frail at least until the end of the season in keeping with our usual lazy approach (and yes, new board etc). So it’s going to be a tough few months and if Wimmer is to succeed with us then he has to keep us in the league.
-
And the more he keeps pushing this agenda the less convincing he’s getting.
-
He’s full of shite and this entire “boo-hoo the fans forced me out” nonsense was just a smokescreen to preserve his own reputation and deflect from the fact that he had ran his course, the team he built was on its arse and the football was dismal. But he’s gone now and we move on.
-
It’s certainly an interesting appointment and surprisingly out of the box for us. He’s got some job on his hands with this squad of mediocre guff and trying to keep us in the league so he needs to hit the ground running and we need to start getting points on the board asap otherwise the playoffs become a distinct possibility.
-
The Pound Shop Klopp? Welcome Michael. And best of luck because you’re going to need it.
-
I kinda hope so too but at the same time I don’t see who else we could/would bring in that would improve things, especially at this stage of the season with the transfer window passed and the squad full of dross that we have.
-
Sadly I agree and I’ve made this point on here before and been scoffed at, but the way we are being run is like a bowling club committee with people who have the best intentions at heart but just don’t have the business savvy to make things work for us. And that is why, amongst other reasons, I firmly believe Stephen Frail will be our manager until the end of the season at least.
-
No words.

This is a ‘watershed moment’ for us as a club today. We are managerless and have a team full of players who are simply inadequate and this game has shown that up. I don’t see how this can change between now and the end of the season and I can only see it getting worse. We are getting relegated this season….and we will deserve it.

0-2

Rotten stuff so far.
-
Miller and Slattery back in the team. Watt partners the Spinmaster up front.
-
It’s gonna be Frail. Folk can talk about who they want and who they think should get it all they like. But it’s gonna be Frail.
-
It’s not obvious either way however I tend to think that if he really didn’t want it then he wouldn’t be doing it atall and would probably have left with Kettlewell. I suspect that timing is the factor here. Frail has only had one game so far - against Celtic which inevitability ended in defeat so he can’t really be judged on that. If we win on Saturday and pick up something at Tannadice the following week then it’ll be easier for them to sell the appointment of Frail to the fans just like they did with Kettlewell and Hammell before him. If you think back Hammell got the job on a ‘temporary’ basis, we beat St.Mirren and he was given the job on a permanent basis a few days later. Same with Kettlewell, placed on interim charge, won two games against St.Mirren and Hearts and officially appointed within days. I don’t see things being any different this time around and Stephen Frail is three, maybe four points away from a permanent appointment imo.
-
You reckon? Anyone who thinks it won’t be Frail until the end of the season is dreaming.
