  1. Hearts have been far better in the second half, but I think that's more to do with us looking knackered for most of it.
  2. I don't think McGinn can complain about that second yellow. Yes, his shirt was tugged, but it looked like he committed a foul first.
  3. That's been the case since 3 pm. For a big athletic player, he can barely run or jump.
  4. Don’t want to jinx it but we’ve got a very good midfield this season. It just seems well-balanced and connected.
  5. We’ll soon find out. I imagine Wilson is being handled in such a way to allow him to further develop (likely out on loan) to be our first choice option in the future.
  6. Campbell has been loaned to Millwall for the season. https://www.lutontown.co.uk/news/2023/september/millwall-loan-switch-for-campbell/
  7. Georgie Gent, a young left-sided player, is set to join on loan from Blackburn. If so, he's the Furlong/Penney replacement we've all hoped for. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/blackburn-rovers-john-buckley-latest-27632388
  8. If so, I'd expect McGinley and/or Efford to leave.
  9. Things haven't worked out for Shaw at Barnsley, likely because he's hardly had any game time yet. However, given he's played many games across the Scottish leagues, including under Kettlewell, I fully expect Ketts to get a charm out of him with us. Edit: He's also a Hibee, so let's hope he smashes the Jambos for us on Sunday.
  10. Our previous squad size was massive (for several reasons) and unsustainable, so I'm glad we appear to have tightened the purse strings. I think we maybe also have a lesser playing budget than planned this season due to the cock up over the works to the front of the East Stand meaning they had to be redone. Douglas Dickie (I think) seemed to hold his hands up to the latter during the most recent Well Society AGM.
  11. Much to the dismay of most Luton fans. Campbell was key to a lot of their previous success, yet it looks like Edwards is changing up their style and formation for the Premier League, which will likely fail. I hope Campbell now finds the manager and game time he deserves.
  12. It was me. Hands held up. He was excellent today.
  13. Fair play to Paton, he completely changed the game and won it for us. I'll eat some humble pie now.
  14. Kettlewell giving Bair a 2-year deal is really going to come back and bite him and us. The guy is, unfortunately, utter garbage at every aspect of the game. He has zero redeeming qualities or ability. It’s the most ridiculous decision imaginable to have offered a known dud anything longer than a short-term deal. Thank fuck for our midfielders being pretty decent because we have zero proven or fit strikers.
  15. I've said in the past that Daws appears to be useless. Couple that with Kettlewell’s lazy summer signings and we’re already in bother.
  16. Wilkinson being out is no great loss. Perhaps a chance for Efford to stop himself from being sent out on loan.
  17. And in other news, have your say on white shorts and the sash here: https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2023/08/25/focus-on-kit-24-25/
  18. Yes. https://motherwelldirect.co.uk/collections/away-kit-odoo/products/23-24-home-away-shorts?variant=44433140646140
  19. Probably, but I'm sure they'll be fine once they receive those tasty parachute payments.
  20. He’d fire everyone on day one.
  21. To be clear: 1. I do not favour a relegation reboot; that's not what I said. I implied relegation could give the Club the reboot it's seemingly required for a while now, however unwanted and damaging that may be. It would be disastrous in terms of being able to return to the Premiership and the employees, but perhaps our future economic model (all we hear is we're skint) suggests we would be no higher than the bottom of the Premiership or a consistent Championship-level team. It was an off-the-cuff remark because this is a football forum. The reset we need should arise as a consequence of having better strategic, long-term direction driven by a permanent CEO, and that's why I ended my late-night rant on the CEO issue. 2. I did not say Weir was unambitious or unintelligent; he's far from it. He's our interim CEO and is rightly tightening the purse strings this summer, yet we still need a permanent CEO with a long-term vision who is also ambitious and intelligent. Chopping and changing to plug short-term gaps and overpromoting from within may steady the ship for now, but it does no good for our long-term stability and Premiership survival, which is what we all want.
  22. Oh, the irony. Your general behaviour on here is to constantly attack the individual's persona (e.g., calling them clueless or inane, and judging their views) from an apparent high and mighty yet cryptic in-the-know position rather than to constructively critique the individual’s post. It's exhausting, but well done getting the bites, again.
