He clearly prefers butcher as the CCB in the 3 and Zdravkoski looks like more of a box to box for me on the small sample size we've seen of him The St signing is the priority for me but we definitely need the other 3 positions as well the boy Spencer looked ok as a Lwb but wanted to come inside too much for me would prefer a left footer in that position. The Cb also would be quite important because I don't know about you but Mugabi never fills me with confidence and Paul Mcginn can get bullied in certain games so a more physical centre-back with experience wouldn't go a miss for me. IF Fitzwater would come I think he'd be an excellent signing. Fletcher and Penney seem like 2 deals that can be done. On the midfielder front not really sure who we can get but I'd definitely like to strengthen there aswell. I'd ideally move Mcginley on. Keep Efford till Jan and move him on then.

To add on to the above a couple of the free agents I'd be looking at Matt Penney-Lwb Paul Osew-Lwb Jack Fitzwater-Cb Ben Heneghan-Cb Luke Amos-defensive mid Dominic Gape- Defensive mid Cameron Mcgeehan- Centre-mid Steven Fletcher-ST Jay Emmanuel-Thomas-St Mckinstry also still available if he wants something different shape wise That's just a quick list of players who are available who ive watched before and thought were decent no idea what sort of wage some would want but all have a decent no of senior apps at a decent level

no disrespect to Dan but im not sure i regularly want our Cb in the oppositions box on sustained attacks against better sides they'll kill us in the vacant spaces left

Personally think we still need 3/4 more in Could do with an experienced Cb to play in the middle of the back 3. Need a Lwb to bring an natural balance to the team. Would take Penney who is a free agent atm. Still don't have a defensive midfielder. We also need another St considering we have about 2 available not including youth players,

Team v Hearts for me would be Kelly Mcginn Casey Blaney O'Donnell Slattery Paton Spencer Spittal Bair New St Miller needs carefully managed a not sure playing him v Hearts would be the right move

Statistically teams don't tend to have as much height as us. Surley Miller or Slattery can take a decent set-peice

Thought I was the only 1 how can a guy so big not be able to judge the flight off the ball time and time again hes in the wrong positions and strikers take advantage. Not keen on any of Lamie, Mugabi, Blaney, Mcginn as Cbs Casey, Butcher and ideally add 1 more

On a Positive when was the last time we had all of our striker options contribute in the first few games

Ideally Furlong, A Rwb and a Defensive mid feel we're lightin terms of competition in all 3 areas

I don't think any striker we bring in will but I do trust him to take more chances than Obika will.

Ye I personally think Mcginley is sub-par but boing our own players never sits well wiith me especially a guy who's been out best part of 2 years

100% as bad as it might sound I was looking forward to watching Shields come back always felt he'd do well playing in a front 2 and had decent pace and movement finishing was lacking tho so can see why he'd move him on

Have I missed something he was arguably our best player under Kettlewell not including Van Veen

Have you seen him play? From the snippets i've seen he looks a similar profile to Slattery the only #6 we have is Maguire

Don't want their to be an over-reaction but some of the things were seeing in these games were typical at the start of the Hammell downfall. How after 3 seasons we still have not signed a Defensive-midfielder I don't know. Feel like we lack the grit required to win the midfield battle and felt we got over-run and outworked in there. Wouldn't be against moving Butcher into midfield when hes fit and sgning an organiser to play in the middle of that back 3

I'll say this quitely but it seems that our manager actually sees the issues in the squad we do. Personally think we could do with 3/4 more Rwb,Cb,2xSt wouldn't say no to another ball winning midfielder if it was on the go

Mugabi should not still have a contract he seems a lovely guy but a woeful footballer

Am i missing something SK saying he was happy with the defensive and midfield options personally think we need at least 2 central-midfielders and 1 CB as don't trust Mugabi or Lamie to do a job there and placing that much faith in Miller at 16 is a recipe for disaster. Majority of them seasons were in the championship no? Would argue the standard of team in the league is better than it was then hence the reason in his last few SPL seasons he was sub par.

The A-League makes Jason Cummings look a good player should not be shopping in it at all
