Clarky is replacing Sutton! We need experience in the team and he will bring that. Fact is if we bring in Skippy and look at Moore as the replacement for Erwin then we are in the same place as last season. Or if we get say a Lyle Taylor as replacement for Erwin then we are in a stronger position. The negativity towards this signing is mental. Clarky and Sutton are a very similar level of player.

I think A Clarky, Skippy, Marvin and Ainsworth forward line would be dynamite. Most of the Spl would shite it up against that lot!

What was the score?

I would guess most of our signings will be coming from down south and possibly Ireland, but if we can keep skippy and ainsworth then I think Clarkson would be a great buy for us. Give him good service and he would get into double figures for the season.

Aye he would have shat the bed. Would have been on the radio praising Rangers as a massive institution and us as the wee plucky team. On the other hand Baraclough by the sounds of it showed the Motherwell boys a few videos of their recent games and said their shite and we should be papping them by at least 5 goals. Bing bang bosh.

I'm not saying he is brilliant all I am saying is he has held down a regular place in an spl side and has improved as the season has the on. From where has came from it's not bad to be honest.

How can Josh Law be looked at as a lazy signing? He has played in the team most of the season and once Baraclough has came in he has looked a pretty decent player.

Felt a bit sorry for him after the Rangers game. Think he knew the job wasn't his and it was all a bit desperate from him. Hope he gets something soon. He did leave us in a mess, but I respect him for leaving and not just sticking it out until he got sacked. No way would I want him back though. He had his time and it was a privilege to watch the Higdon, Faddy, Humph and Law team rip teams to shreds.

Sad to see Sutton go. We have to remember he hit double figures again this season while playing in a pretty shite side. I think he has moved as he would have been on the bench here at Motherwell and used as an impact sub. It might be that St Johnstone want to build the team round him??

His comments about us celebrating staying up were bizarre. Why would any team not celebrate that? We have just hammered rangers over two legs, saved our status in the top division, possibly kept a large part of the squad together and also possibly made sure no staff lost their jobs. But let's not celebrate that - lets just march down the tunnel and wallow in the fact Rangers won't be in the big league. Utter baw baggery!

I'm amazed McCall threw him on when the game was lost. Was a accident waiting to happen. Can't believe he plays proffesional football.

All the hospitality who were mainly rangers fans lost the plot once went two nil up and started kicking off with well fans. Nothing major, but could have been a lot worse if Motherwell officials didn't step in.

Special mention to Peter Elder who did a fantastic job in calming down a lot of those idiots in hospitality.

Was in the main stand - there were loads of rangers fans around us but to be fair they just sat and said nothing. The worst lot were all the pricks in the hospitality that were fucking being right dicks. Most of them got chucked out. What a game though - total stroll in the park, they are utter garbage! Lasleys rendition of twist and shout was a highlight!!

Not convinced at all with Baraclough to be honest, but we have to remember he came into a shit storm left by a 'couldn't give a fuck' McCall and a very questionable behind the scenes setup. The introduction of the new owners seems to be addressing this. I say give them both the summer and see what happens. There is no point throwing the toys out the pram if we get relegated - better to keep a level of stability.
