  1. We haven't won at Ibrox in god knows how long! I do agree though that Rangers will drop a fair few points in this run in, but they will have enough in the tank to get the 6 points they need. Anyway your idea is on the basis Celtic win all their games and thats pretty unlikley. Would be amazing if it did happen though!
  2. Rangers and Celtic need to look at the bigger picture and realise that a better and more competitive league can be achieved with more teams. Rangers and Celtic also need to understand that their power on the league is diminshing due to their poor efforts in europe which has reduced their revenue. They are no longer as big a fish in a small pond. They are always going to be bigger and better than the rest due to their fan base, but its time for them to see that the decline of Scottish football direrctly effects their pockets and by improving it will not only benefit them, but also all the other teams in the league.
  3. This just proves how much of a farce the top 6 split is. Time for the SPL to just extend to a 16 or 18 team league and that would be that. Every fan wants it, most players would want it and it would make our league far more entertaining. Now we have a run in of fixtures that basically make it very tricky for us to compete on a level playing field. The whole system is a mess. Mind you have a think about St Mirren who have to play their relegation candidates Falkirk 3 times away from home!
  4. Summer football is totally out of sync with the rest of Europe. What happens when a World Cup or Euro Championships comes along? You could say Russia copes with it fine, but they have to do it as its about -40 in the winter, but they still have to play Euro ties in the winter like everyone else. So they have laid a 4G pitch. The advantages of 4G pitches is huge. I can really see it helping the development of youth football in Scotland. I watched some kids playing an organised game the other week on a muddy, uneven field and all they could do was punt it up in the air. This is happening all over Scotland. Places like Hamilton Palace and Toryglen are the way forward. If we can get 3G and 4G pitches across the country the standard of foorball would rise dramatically I think.
  5. Not really. It rains all the time in typical Scottish summer. Pitches would still be a mess. The only answer is these new 4G pitches. It its good enough for a CSKA Moscow v Inter Milan Champions League Semi Final then its good enough for a Motherwell v Falkirk tie on a cold February afternoon. Replace all Scottish grounds with 4G pitches and utilise them for training, youth games etc. Our game would be far better for it.
  6. Aye but look how well Messi is playing now. All down to the Knox.
  7. Cos they are thick as pig shit.
  8. Show me your war face psycho
  9. Bad result no doubt, but sounds like we just didn't get the breaks and with Dundee Utd having Webster and Kenneth at the back it was always going to be difficult to pull back a 2 goal deficit. Beat Falkirk on Saturday and we are right back in the hunt.
  10. If we can keep it tight at the back and play with the same intensity as we did at Hearts then we might catch them off guard. Dundee Utd are a very good side, but are pretty slack at the back. Get Sutton playing behind Duke and Murphy and just run at them. I think this will be a draw though 1-1
  11. We were certain of the top six about a month ago. We have to build on this form and try to achieve 3rd place. A victory over Dundee Utd and a win against Falkirk before the split I think would give us the confidence to go into the split knowing a few wins would guarantee this. Anything against Celtic would be an added bonus. The confidence is there. Its now all about staying injury free. Something we have been very lucky with this season.
  12. Seems simple to me. He and Archie were brought in until the end of the season to steady the ship. They have both done very well and Boyle has probably said to them that they will get new 2 year deals when the season is over and we know what kind of financial position we will be in.
  13. Aye Forbes is done for the season. He is a great player, but I think he was just played too much at the start of the season and has struggled in the latter stages of the season.
  14. Well I was going to bring my midget sex slave. She is excited about getting out the house for the first time this year. She is an adult, but might pass as a jivenile. So looks like I am covered!
  15. What initiative do you want exactly? A seat warmer? A hostess to deliver you a pint and a blowjob? Get a grip. The club are trying their best to get bums on seats and all you can think about is yourself. You bought the season ticket on the basis you would get into all the home games, no idea what else you want!
  16. So did every player on the pitch in that game.
  17. Ruddy has played nearly a whole season while Fraser has played only a handful of games, of course he is going to make more mistakes!
  18. Fair enough Jay, but Gary Kenneth ahead of Mark Reynolds? Thats the one that sticks in my craw. If Reynolds played like he has for Celtic or Rangers he would walk into the Scotland team.
  19. My simple take on this is: Gannon had an approach to take our squad into the 21st Century and use a young squad to play attractive passing game. He brought in good young players who he felt could do this and axed players in the current squad who he felt could not work in his system. This started off well, but after a while teams figured us out and realised that putting us under pressure they could waltz though a very thin defence. This was not the least of Gannons problems. His man management skills were very poor and the players were beginning to get disallusioned with his attitude and that the style of play he wanted us to use was not working. He was then sacked. Craig Browns job was much more simple. He has come in and changed it back to a basic 442 tactic and has brought back Craigan and Lasley to add some expereince to the team. He already had the talent at his disposal so all he needed to do was make sure the players understood the tatics and earned his respect. Thats probably why we are 12 games unbeaten. I just feel we never had a good enough squad to play Gannons game tactics. If it had continued I feel we would have been in a relegation battle.
  20. The attendance at Motherwell has dropped due to the pitch. Nobody is coming back and most of the people returning are season ticket holders. They have paid to endure it, but to be fair today we played some excellent football on probably the worst surface in the UK. Also Scottish fitbaw is too expensive.
  21. Amazing result today. I really felt this was one we might lose, but after one minute I was asking myself how many would we score. Hearts were woeful. Jennings, Sutton, O'Brien and Reynolds were outstanding and have shown why we are now joint third in the league. Hats off to the whole club as this is probably one of the best comebacks ever. In December we were languishing in what looked like a relegation dog fight. Now we have a realistic chance of finishing 3rd in the league
  22. I look at it more that Jennings used my post as a platform to raise his game.
  23. Just feel we will be more up for the fight than Hearts. The pitch we can use to our advantage. Also Hearts have a large injury list. So on that basis 2-0 to Hearts!
  24. I take back my criticism of Jennings. Seems to have now found his feet at Motherwell and looks to be an excellent player. Hope he stays.
