  1. Aye never an SPL player, but has always been appreciative of Motherwell as it gave him the platform to play for Stirling and now has moved up another level if signing for Partick. Fair play to the lad as its something you don't hear of much these days. A player who is a bit older getting their chance at a higher level. Usually they just come through the youth ranks.

    Aberdeen

Aberdeen aren't a good team. We play to our strengths then we can beat them. We should have beat them at Fir Park and probably had the better of the encouter at Pittodrie. 2-1 Motherwell
  3. Jennings is too slow for SPL football in my book. When given time to play a pass and move he is excellent, but in the hurly burly midfield battles of the SPL he looks way of the pace. The one game where I thought he was excellent was the 0-0 game against Rangers, he came on and ran the show for about 20 minutes, but apart from that he has done nothing to impress me.
  4. I just look at it as a wage freed up to get Juke on board on a permanent basis.
  5. I heard Moses was going to Real Madrid
  6. Second goal was an excellent team move.
  7. Eh? For Rangers who at the time had one of the best squads in Europe? Did Bob Malcolm carry that team? He was at Rangers for 9 years and played 66 games. Thats a shite return for a so called excellent player. You are digging a hole here mate.
  8. Pitch was crap. Something is going very badly wrong at Fir Park with regards to keeping it in good nick. Blaming the weather is no longer an option as no other team seems to have problems like we do. Out of interest what was the pitch at ICT like? They had weather far worse than us and seem to have come out of it no bother at all.
  9. Great performance on a very poor surface. Hammell and Lasley both stand outs, but big Sutton lead the line well. Jamie Murphy gave them loads of bother down the middle as his close control is excellent so is a welcome replacement for 'The Duke'. Thought Craigan looked reasonably solid and some of his distribution was good. Always looks vulnerable against someone with pace, but that's why Reynolds is there. Final point is that Hateley is our first choice right back, we won't get anyone better as we can't afford anyone better.
  10. I'll admit Bob Malcolm can take the odd free kick and his passing is decent, but as proved with his stint with us he is too slow. He is not an option at the back due to his pace and the game passes him by in the middle of the park. So for all you guys to be coming on here saying he is an excellent footballer is bollocks. He never has been an excellent footballer and going by recent form he never will. He scored two decent free kicks - that's it. Nothing more.
  11. From deciphering those stats he has played 19 games and scored 17 goals. No idea how good NZ fitbaw is. It probably shite, but he must have an eye for goal.
  12. Bob Malcolm was with Motherwell for more than a season. He played 20 games and scored three goals. For the last half of his final season he never even made it off the bench. How exactly is he suddenly this great player again? I understand that most of the people on here are now wind up merchants, but this wind up's just generally a shite one lads. Back to the drawing board!
  13. Was it really that pathetic? I mean are we any better than ICT? I have said it before most of the teams in the first division could easily hold their own in the SPL - christ I would make Dundee favourites to get third place! Just becuase we are one league up doesn't make us some billy big baws!
  14. Craig Brown is about 70. Boyle has probably told him he can stay about 5 times, but he keeps forgetting.
  15. The gap between the first division and the SPL is non existent. Most of the teams in the top half could easily compete in the SPL. Inverness showed they are a good side at Fir Park and have a bit of pace with Imrie. Sounds to me like the players were sucker punched by two goals. Football can be pish sometimes eh!
  16. Just to keep the rumour mill mixing bowl topped up. I was out for a run on Saturday morning and I ran past Fir Park and a big black man in a suit got out a car and was walking towards Fir Park. Could just be a smartly dressed plumber or he could be Ronaldo's agent. Mmmmm
  17. Why would he want to come back and sort all this shit out? I would be sunning it up in New Zealand too. Burst pipes, two old duds managing the club, players all pissed off and add into that we are now in the relegation mix due to us being shite for months! Aye I would come back!
  18. This is all a bit shite is it not. We are in the worst form in years, the players seem lost, the loanee signings will probably not come back, we now have no manager and to top it all off the chances of us brining in anyone in January looks non existent. Fucking shite being a Motherwell fan during Christmas in the last few years.
  19. I'm happy with what Gannon is trying to do. What I am not happy with is the constant changing of the first team line up. I don't think we have played consecutive halfs with the same squad and tactic never mind games. In my opinion its causing the team problems.
  20. I got the wee man his first Motherwell gear. Sleep suits and a a wee tammy! He will be all kitted up for the festive break!
  21. You are missing the point he is complaing about refs across the board. Not just what goes in our favour. I agree, some of Gannons decisions have been quite strange, but the way I look at it is this. Gannon does not want our team to close down and tackle, he wants us to play a passing game that is patient and builds from the back. He is teaching young players to play the game properly and if that means we don't win much then 'thats life'. Its a learning experience You need time to create a decent team and also time to make them do what you want. Some of the criticsm on here baffles me sometimes. This is a fresh start for a very very young team and it might take one season, it might take two, but I hope by the end of it we are watching really good football at Fir Park, win lose or draw. We can maon all we want about results and team selection, but the fact of the matter is we are watching a team learning a new skill - passing! Not many teams in the SPL do that very well.

    Jim O Brien

If he goes he goes. Frees up a wage to get another player. Would be a bit gutted to lose him as he has won us a good few points with his runs into the box. Ach well we have lost worse!

    What If?

Oh forgot about that. Back to sitting behind my computer, playing Fm2010 and wondering when Motherwell will be signing Xavi.
