  1. Apologies if I've missed it - but any word whether the Club managed to secure 'early' drinking privileges?
  2. Just seen the goals on SSN - Trevor didn't exactly cover himself in glory at the second - now there's a sentence I didn't think I would type this season!!!!!!!
  3. Not sure about that. We're on bus 18 and that was on Tuesday - 2nd day of sale
  4. ......................... or not As others have said - common sense has prevailed - not something you get to say about Scottish Football very often.
  5. Oh yeah - great memory - particularly the crowd trouble. Not so much the result. Was supposed to meet my uncle and cousin, who had travelled up from Kilmarnock for the game - but never did due to the size of the crowd. Like you this 11 year old was crapping it while the fighting was at it's height - and believe me this was real 'crowd-trouble' toe-to-toe stuff, not the 'pavement dancing' most of us were used to seeing in the '80s. Some of the games particularly versus Killie and Hearts had a real sinister feel to them - pre fence obviously.
  6. Sounds like a huge OG to me - an admittance of guilt before the 'appeal' - or at the least, evidence to back up Thomson's view - strange decision by the club.
  7. Try it any other way and we can't get past the first man - atrocious at times.
  8. LOL - What's wrong with a train set and a shed? Will that be a majority of the ones who stayed away - couldn't care less who agrees or disagrees.
  9. Sorry mate don't need you to tell me either But glad I've given you a laugh
  10. What I find hard to understand is the mentality that fans are happy to shell out for a season ticket to watch games in a competition that we have as much chance of winning as hell freezing over - yet fail to turn up to a game in one of the only two competitions where we actually have a chance. This is noticeable not only here but in Englandurshire as well - strange one!!
  11. I don't need you to tell me to calm down - I'm perfectly calm. Good that you made it - welcome to the 'uber' supporters club.
  12. So you fail to see the irony in your comment, that more than 50% of the crowd travelled from outside Lanarkshire . I will enjoy the moment, but our support was pathetic whatever way you spin it.
  13. Remind me again where Edinburgh is? Our support was pathetic for a quarter-final.
  14. You're bang on the money there - nice of you to recognise it
  15. I that 45 minutes was a real hardship in getting to the game.
  16. Yip - big Rab joined the 'Well fans at the cup tie at Dens a coupled of weeks past.
  17. Sorry to burst your dad's bubble, but McClair (from Airdrie) was a 'Hoops' fan through and through. Don't think Joe was either - though certainly grew to have a deep affection and affinity with the club. Think I read somewhere that Johnny Gaghan - though from Glasgow used to come to games with his Uncle, prior to signing and claimed to have been a supporter. Gary Mac seems to divide opinion with those who went to school with him - some claim he was a 'blue-nose' others that he bled 'Claret & Amber' - he does pledge his allegiance to Motherwell when appearing as a pundit
  18. Just me being smart mate. Only became their 'home end' post-segregation. Prior to that we had all sorts of 'fun' swapping ends at half-time and after on the dual-carriageway just before the Racecourse where the buses parked. Could never get a taste for 'the wine' in any of it's forms - straight Tennents lager (think it had to do with the glamour girls on the back).
