  1. Congratulations big fella - get it put away for next seasons Euro jaunt

    John Ruddy

From an ex-Dumbarton, Dalziel HSFP, eh sure there were others, custodian of the sticks, I concur with the right honourable genetleman for Falkirk South.
  3. Think he was referring to Andy_P's comment Would I be right in thinking this had something to do with MSP Kenny MacAskill of the SNP?
  4. The rugger chappies know how to behave. Is it really not that obvious. Unless things have dramatically changed in Scotland - the 'prawn' sanny brigade get no special treatment from the real fans - both have to get their fill of alcohol pre and post game (never during, not even at half-time). The only difference is in the location - at the stadium or at the Pub. Anyone who attended Nancy should have first hand knowledge why it shouldn't be re-introduced - you really should have ssen the state of some of our support (and that was with NON-ALCOHOLIC beverages), topping up the copious amounts already drunk prior to KO. No thanks from me.

    John Ruddy

Yeah that and the fact that he shouted like his baws hadn't dropped - not even close to a top 4 finish in my book - Stuart Rennie, Keith MacRae and Big Sieb all in front of him, but way out in front - John Ruddy - if only I had won that Euro Millions at the weekend.
  6. Was that taken during the first or second phase of the play
  7. Does the question not relate to names of managers (Scotland and Motherwell) in place at the same time? If so you're right with Bobby Brown and Bobby Howitt, but not even close with the other 2.
  8. Yip - Andy Russell's method, religiously ridicule anyone who even attempts to set foot on the precious turf. His philosophy "Grass grows in inches..........but feet kill it - KEEP OFF THE GRASS", so what do our esteemed groundstaff do, take Andy's philosophy to a whole new level - keep the feet of it..................................instead drive a bloody great tractor over it
  9. Obviously an attention disorder - Frazzle back to your room and take your medication - no more computer time for you.
  10. Shit that's why we didn't get any decisions, I was ranting at Charlie Richmond all night doh
  11. F..k me it WAS Mini-Me running the line.
  12. Just shows how pictures can tell a totally different story - didn't think Crags was that quick, or for that matter the h*n defence that slow - just proves how wrong we all can be. Thanks for clearing both issues up - wonder if either will appear in the nationals tomorrow
  13. Looking at that still - might it have been Crags who was offside - couldn't tell from where I was sitting in the Cooper.

    Rangers

Tough, tough choice - perm any 1 from 11. Like many others though the MOM was undoubtedly Stephen Craigan - what an absolutely superb, controlled and skilful performance from Captain Wonder (and the team) are you watching Mr Gannon. Special shout for Stevo Jennings again a very composed performance, doing the simple things really well.
  15. Discussed at some length at our table at the Burns Supper on Friday night - good night by the way. Several people with connections to the club, commented that the option presented to MFC by the 'experts' was considerably more, in cost, than had been expected and the company were advised to trim back the quote. Although the drainage and USH were to the initial recommended spec - the substructure and re-seed of the park was the area that was 'trimmed' - at that time the club were informed that given the reduced specification to the substructure that it was inevitable that the pitch would be seriously damaged over the course of the winter and would require a complete overhaul. Although not straight from the horse's mouth, those in attendance have connections within the club and while I will not divulge the source, I certainly have no reason to doubt their validity. Might just explain the reason why the pitch is in such a state now. Also as an aside - funny how our groundsman friend hasn't posted in a while? Given his enthusiasm to post during the construction period, I would have thought this was an ideal opportunity to share his knowledge with us. Onthefringes - care to comment? You seem to have a better grasp than most on here of the industry and what was required/carried out close season.
  16. Think you're thinking about Eric Garcin
  17. Always remember big Cleishy Mac's interview on the signing of Shivute - "The Motherwell fans will never have seen anything like Shivute" - Boy was he right
  18. To quote McGhee - "no better than we have at the moment" - no thanks.
  19. Or no rush cause no one else wants him
  20. This is just taking 'Care In The Community' to a whole new and worrying level. The Dons also have their version - see here http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=4...;mid=2123009586
  21. He's just a FHW - the pitch at Grangemouth tonight was not a lot better than ours - doesn't make ours right though.

    Falkirk

No issue for me has to be Mark Reynolds, he has something few defenders in the SPL have pace -rescued several threatening situations by sheer awareness and speed. Good display. Special mentions to Keith Lasley (particularly 1st half) and Jamie Murphy (gave his all) and is starting to look like the player we all thought he might be.
  23. Ceske - how accurate is the programme? This was the first game after we won the Cup and you were presented with the 1st Division Trophy (both trophies were paraded that day). I agree that I don't think there was quite that figure in the away end (the Police demanded the game be all-ticket and a fair number - well those of a casual nature were locked outside and spent the afternoon being chased round Falkirk Town Centre by the Police), but was certainly around the 3,000 mark. I seem to recall the crowd being around the 7,000 + mark. Ceske - the book 'Well Again' which is a statistical history of the club, records the attendance as 6,000 - where this info came from I don't know, but I can assure you from my memory, there was definitely more than 5,000.
  24. NO argument from me - would love to see more through the turnstyles, more power to your pen and voice - though perhaps I might be allowed a little cynism, given that I've tried in vain for 40 years to persuade others to join the 'well rollercoaster, pity I won't be around in another 30 years to see whether you succumb to my apathy .
