Hope it doesn't happen and we get completely out of the mess, but does anybody know the playoff fixture dates?

Coyne and Arnott in my lifetime.
So having re-signed McDonald, Pearson, McFadden... Etc... Are they busy at the weekend?

I left my 'WellSociety membership card in the wee slot to make the lights work in a hotel room in Retford. How do I go about getting another one? Or, more practically, do I or will I need it for anything?
The Well Society is literally and metaphorically about keeping the lights on.

Not sure if it's already been posted, but here are Marvin's goals from this year. Good selection, but quite a few left-footers from outside the box.

BUMP.
As if I could not see this happening
I will talk to the club but it looks as if the 20th Anniversary meal will now be a dinner of the Friday evening and not a lunch on the Saturday after all.................
Will there still be drinking though?

Holy shit. Hard to believe when it's put down like that.
Was thinking that too. We can field a very plausible XI with no Scotsmen, and almost an all-English one.
Just saying likes.

We can now adopt the old Craig Brown scotland tactics.
Possible Team
Long
Reid, Kerr, Laing, Ramsden, O'Brien, McManus, Hartley, Hammell, Straker
Sutton - (Don't forget to track back)
Josh Law in for Sutton and you're on the money.

Car sharing?
Let's get a campaign going... "Get Chummy to Accies". Where are you coming from chief? Sure there'll be someone who can help out.

In terms of our desire to see him move on, I don't think the right question is, has he taken us as far as he can (probably yes)... But could anyone have done any better (probably not).
Really hope he stays, but if and when he does go he'll go with a big thanks from me, and a desire to see him do well wherever he goes. (Well, maybe with a couple of exceptions...)

Burke would be an amazing signing. Surely no.
Interesting possibility. If there are guys who for whatever reason want to be based in central Scotland, historically they'd be looking at the big Glasgow or Edinburgh teams. Stating the obvious, but 3 of the 4 are out of the top league next season. So if (again for whatever reason) Celtic isn't an option... all of a sudden we become quite attractive, assuming dough isn't the be-all-and-end-all for some players, and factoring in the fact that Motherwell has a good reputation as somewhere where people enjoy going to work. Maybe we have a one-season window of opportunity to go for some apparently ambitious signings?

Heard a very strong rumour that macron will be supplying our kits for next 2 seasons
If that's the case, anyone got an idea how this Napoli third strip template could be made into a 'Well one?

Available to reserve online and pick up in-store...

I see Livi drew 2-2 with Morton 10 days ago...

Just like for the Europa League etc, there should be no seeding. But it is interesting how in this case (as a seeded team) we tend to look at it a bit differently... which explains why the big teams that drive the agenda at UEFA will be unlikely to change it

UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino has spoken of "the chance of glory for everyone" as teams strive to reach the group stages of this season's European club competitions...
"This year's campaign is proving to be fascinating so far, because we are seeing representatives of some European countries participating in this stage of the competition for the very first time....
This quite clearly reflects the sporting diversity of the UEFA Champions League and, more importantly, it provides ample proof that there is a chance of football glory for everyone."
I find this really pathetic... There may well be a chance of glory, but the coefficients and seeding etc significantly reduce that chance... And they clearly feel the need to defend themselves

I've loved the past 5 or 6 years as our consistency has been outstanding, but this annual capitulation in Europe is a scunner.
I know what you're saying. But... even with the UEFA draw manipulation, we were still a baw hair off getting what turned out to be a game in Luxembourg. We'd have had a massive support there, and have been in with a reasonable shout of going through... with the possible prize of a glamour tie and earning some real dough in the play-off round. We'd have had a different perspective on European fitba' if that had all come to pass. Small margins.
Anyway... bring it on again next year I say.

Don't know whether I should take the plunge and get a ST for the Cooper stand tomorrow.
Aye, go on. I'd love to be in a position to have a season ticket and see more of the games. Sunday is a big game, and you may as well get best value out of a season ticket.

I dislike UEFA and FIFA intensely. All the major developments in the game over the last 20 years have all been about hoovering up money. coefficients, seedings... The main way to do that is to ensure that all the big teams / countries get to the latter stages of the tournaments, where the TV money is. World Cup in Qatar is a another example of how it's all about the dough rather than the sport.
As much as I'd love it if they went back to a proper champions tournament, open draws etc, it ain't going to happen. The thing that irritates me most about it is that 9 times out of 10 the big teams / countries will get to the latter stages anyway, but UEFA / FIFA are not even prepared to take that risk.
Anyway, something that may help a little bit in cases like ours (expensive trip to Russia resulting in a wee club losing money) would be to distribute the crumbs from the rich man's table according to distance. E.g if the average for the 3rd round is 100k then if the trip is

I see Kuban got a 1-1 away draw at Zenit tonight, with a late-ish equaliser after Arshavin had given Zenit the lead. So three games into their league season, a win and two draws.

Quality... I especially love the comment, "An understanding of the Celtic history and current context"

Anyone else considering going?
Thinking about it... Will make decision over the weekend... Its marginal... The whole visa thing is annoying.

Might be a daft question, but is there any chance of the match being moved from Krasnodar? I know Ruben Kazan played at least some of their games in Moscow, due to "local difficulties". Not up on Russian current affairs, so no idea what the script is in Krasnodar. At least if it was in Moscow it makes it a whole lot more accessible / cheaper due to the fact that there are lots more flights.

I think its one of
Sevilla, Sparta Prague, Anorthosis, Bursaspor, Estoril or Debrecen
But that's taking a stab at it using Uefa's pre draw groupings ruling going by coefficient.
I see what you've done there, but does it not all get buggered up by the number of teams that have to avoid teams from their country? there are a few countries with teams in both sides of the draw... E.g. Scotland, Czech, Poland, Norway, Switzerland, Denmark...
Or did you take that into account already?

The pressure will be off tomorrow, Faddy wont be the main topic, it will be the build up to the Euro draw.
As if Faddywatch wasn't bad enough for my productivity at work... next comes the draw... travel arrangements...
