  1. Im really not fussed about the pitch changes. Sitting in that away stand at Killie the pitch at Ruby Park always seemed like one of the bigger ones in the league. I may be seeing things right enough. Id be more concerned with our ability to bury chances if Killie sit deep and try to hit us on the break.
  2. I can see where your coming from, I suppose a fair chunk of the support now will not have even seen the club play a "derby" other than Accies!
  3. Surely that Scottish Cup tie back in 2007 when Kenny Black was Airdrie manager felt like a derby? If I recall it had a substantial crowd. We filled two stands and I'm sure Airdrie almost filled their main stand which I think is around 3,500, which is a bumper crowd considering their average attendance is below 1k!
  4. Would love to see a return of our real derby. Accies is a feeble derby compared to the old Motherwell v Airdrieonians. Would be good to see the support get behind this one.
  5. Media seem to be getting carried away with getting torn into Killie at the moment, including on Clyde SS last night...I think we should be quite cautious as I suspect they wont be as shite as they are being made out/were last season. Bear in mind one of the criticisms of the Rangers game was our inability to finish good chances. If we are going to win it will be with a scrappy single goal or two, we certainly wont be dishing out a thrashing.
  6. Three goals are three goals regardless of the play, but in similarity to Saturday, could gouge your eyes out just watching it. On the other hand....2,503 attendance? Jesus Christ. Such occasions are going to see stands shut for small games like this.
  7. Clearly not for the past few seasons, back to the dry, sawdust pies seen everywhere. Crowd was pretty poor however, whilst this doesn't apply to me, a new fan in the Cooper yesterday would not have been impressed. The stand was absolutely boggin. Regarding the game while I think there is a lot of positives to take, McDonald had merited a few grunts from the back of the Cooper for being a bit greedy on a couple of occasions. Moult made a huge difference and it's devastating to hear he is out for a month or so. I wouldn't be too concerned over the amount of posession Sevcos rang up, it was clear what Mcghee was trying to achieve. Bottom line is though goals win games not chances or posession, they scored two quality goals, while we were a bit disorganised inside the box.
  8. Sorry to backtrack here but the badges have been honking since Puma took over. The Canterbury kits actually had the badge stitchedon which in my opinion, looks classier. And as for the retro MFC logo - no, it looks amateur. Stick with the current club badge. Regarding the sponsor logo, it looks shite. All three kits are mince. I can't understand why a company who are putting their logo on a kit would want it to look as cheap and slapped on as the motorpoint logos do on our kits. Very disappointing. Some of the edits on the concept kit thread looked very good and would have made both the kit - and the motorpoint logo - look better than what they do.
  9. It is an interesting time indeed. The club may break even but is that necessarily good enough? What happens the next time substantial money is required to be spent to keep Fir Park in operation, being a crumbling old ground, for example? Could it lead to areas of the ground being closed and left to fall into disrepair as a result of a lack of finance? Raith Rovers have one side of their ground closed is a case where this has already happened. Not sure if the club directly financed the pitch improvements over the years or renovations such as that in 2008 were financed by the board. But I'd be worried if something were to come up in that respect.
  10. I know its retro and historic, but the club crest should always be on the strip. Personally, I think the MFC lettering looks pish so won't be buying it, always felt it looks amateur.
  11. lad in the shop said today there wouldnt be a new strip next season!
  12. Ally Maxwell used to stay in Strathaven, sure he wasnt the only one though
  13. Born and bred in Strathaven, still there yet. Followed the well like the rest of the family. Suprisingly a fair number of 'Well fans up here. Even at Strathaven Academy with all the spoilt brats I was one of about 30 in the year who supported Motherwell, the rest were current buns or didnt really care, not many celtic fans, most went to Holy Cross in Hamilton.
  14. I think something external is required, and the trust currently is that. Another voice for the fans is always needed, and I think that could be taken away if the trust and the SAC were to merge, as the SAC is coordinated by club. Id be all for the Supporters Association and the trust merging, and having a good working link with the club and the SAC. On another note I think its hugely unprofessional for the Chief Executive to be responding on message boards when wee squabbles come up, a bit like what had happened with the thread about the ticket office last christmas when she came on and responded in a rather childish way.
  15. Our programme is a rip off anyway, not bought one in years
  16. Any buses running to Morton & Dumbarton?

  17. Dont think this has been mentioned elsewhere, but LD was in the evening times yesterday talking about a move from Fir Park and John Boyle's departure. Evening Times
  18. Im looking at possibly booking a bus from Strathaven to Tannadice, which would also be able to pick up at other places in the area. Anyone interested please pm me asap, got a few from Strathaven already so its realistic, just needing some more names. Cheers
  19. It was, apart from a few seats right behind the goals
  20. Seen as theyre not getting the cooper, are they gonna get squeezed into that wee section of the POD stand, like what used to happen?
  21. Theyve even put the prices up in the pie stalls, cost me and ma mate £7.00 for 2 pies and 2 cokes.
  22. 2-1 Motherwell, with Llanelli scoring an equaliser just after half time, and 'Well scoring the winner after 80 minutes.
  23. Heres a list of all the fixtures comming up mate: http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/index.php?op...7&Itemid=71
