Was Tom Hateley not right behind him majority of games , I really dont recall Chris as a wingback ( and can only imagine I'd be hiding behind my hands if he was!) meant to post this the other night in response to Busta and siebs posts, mustve fell asleep! unluckily post editor seems to have saved it? team selection and line up is a total shambles , I've taken to focussing on a few players each game , Donnelly was totally hung out to dry by Robinson at the weekend (again). the Lad is the most one footed player I think we've ever had, yet our experienced football manager puts him out there on his wrong foot for majority of a game, a second game in succession , the lad was almost shell shocked by time he got moved to RB. I'll go as far as saying Robinson is destroying decent reputations and perhaps even ruining players potential by dropping them into roles they just arent suited for. There can be plenty arguments that players should be capable of using both feet etc, but if a player simply cannot kick with his left foot, you'd have to be a certain type of 'visionary to think they would deliver on the left hand side, especially only a few days on from watching them play like a swan on ice Robinson is slowly showing he's losing it, having taken to 'putting down' these "qualified young coaches with their licences" that have ideas of playing football only one or two steps away from saying the players aren't delivering what he's asking them to do, a la Yogi Hughes patter. the football we've been served during his tenure up has been 80-90% god awful, 10-20% sheer delight, he might deserve more time, but NOT if he cannot select and set out a basic team utilising the capability of the players he has at his disposal (from his squad)

1st sign? we have regularly finished games with 4 or 5 man frontline , having sacrificed those that provide the most assists.....I had assumed that was plan B 1-5-5

yip, and it was on the back of a few others launching other items at the same player. Pathetic, and whoever the ref' eventually identified, was probably only mimicking those that started the trend,

staggered at that chat Dave, a physically massive and brutal Hearts side had what , one, two three? chances on goal over 90 minutes and you consider our defence had a poor game? I reckon Aldred, McHugh and Hartley will rarely be challenged to a physical battle like that. the ever so predictable formation left them to do far too much work, but they were steadfast, McHughs brainfart moment aside. I was dissapointed that the captain was blowing out his arse around 70mins, to the extent at times he stopped participating in build up and just wanted rid in posession, I get he's been long term out etc all the more reason for the manager to manage the game & squad etc through subs usage. Aldred too seemed to be distracted towards the end as if running low on energy, but the 3 of them had put in a tremendous shift. Cadden is so wasted a RWB, Tait wasted on the left ( and had some rare blunders today) but the square pegs in round holes to suit the boss's desire shows little sign of changing. Campbell was also done in around 70-75 as well , perhaps predictably, even more frustrating that the Boss, had went all in, on a petty double sub. when in reality, we were still very much in contention. thereafter was hardly worth staying for, dire viewing, but never really 'out' the game. Edit: oh and please to whatever God suits every single player, please for the love of that God, SHOOOOOT! on at least half the occasions you get a sniff of the goal

Tom Aldred. has everything you'd want in a player in defence , staggering that his parent clubs fans cannot see that. Bigi , will take some votes though , and Danny was a thorn in their side

Are they? Seems to get thrown in regularly by some in an attempt to justify in some way. would be better if folk just stuck to their argument, so your saying he isn’t a target man, so the same as Johnson and Main then ? Guess there must have been another reason he was signed if that’s the case

Agreed, nothing much to be expected or gained for us, except some semblance of justice If only one of our many friends in the media could find a way to ask Brendan if hes looking for a strong referee to 'get a hold' of players like McGregor in their upcoming match

mostly when he's filling in / wrong sided , a rare thing for a motherwell support to allow for the effort in such circumstance
