Many an apparent poor striker has rocked up and delivered. As you say time will tell.
What needs to happen for a striker to really flourish is decent service and for said striker having good movement.
Knowing them they will want cash and JT. They are the Trump of scottish football.
Lets not forget all the times they have screwed us over.
I hope Welsh comes back, but only on our terms. After all we are developing one of their players so they can sell at a big fee.
They dont rate him but give him stupid money to hang about. Eventually the players realise there careers are going nowhere staying put. The old firm would be as well not having youth systems. Their fans dont want raw untested youngsters. They want instant results with big name signings.
They have treated Welsh appallingly. How not to motivate a player or encourage any up and comming youngster.
I hope their pettyness does not go unnoticed by our decision makers.
Thats cheap for his value to the team and club. Him helping us get to a cup final, higher up the league and europe is worth a big chunk of money now. Player valuations have increased , especially when there is all to play for.
VAR is a farce. We dont need a pointless review program to confirm what we know already.
Run by biased, corrupt and useless officials. These guys dont want to stop their big brown enevelope appearance fee at friendly games.
With 30 months left on his contract and Celtic being desperate we are in the driving seat. It will have to be silly money surely for us to sell in this window. Celtic are not a good team and we can finish above them so why weaken us to strengthen them? Strikers scoring goals, with pace are rare.
He gave the impression of someone who just could not be bothered today. His usual workrate was non existent. Mind it cant be easy playing against 3 center backs and deep midfield. Also we seldom cross the ball and created nothing for him, tho he has to get into decent positions.
Money is tight at this time of year. Together with poor form from some teams, its no suprise at the numbers.
One thing is our fans always turn up for cup games.
