fraser lost his footing on the best bit of grass on the pitch
-
We know that his weakness is in the air and so does all our opposition. Which is only going to add to the pressure he is under. He is going to have to work extremely hard in training to improve this part of his game, and fast, especially with Utd due soon.
-
Weather conditions, playing on a beach, overpriced, playing the same opposition over and over again, players just going through the motions, authorities frisking you before you enter the stadium or basically treating you like a criminal, game live on TV, stupid kick off times, are just some of the reasons why fans are staying away. This is not just Motherwell's problem.
-
ever going to let someone other than Hateley take the kicks in and around the box? Let wee stevie have a crack, cannae be any worse surely.
-
O'Brien has alot to offer, but he also has a lot to learn. Sometimes, trying to do to much, and not doing the simple thing, puts the team under all sorts of pressure.
-
to be honest is it any wonder fans are thinking of not returning. Overpriced, treated appallingly by the authorities, and basically a very poor standard of football on show.
-
he was no worse or better than any other midfield player tonight. Only thing you could question sometimes is his hunger and determination to do well, as he gives the impression of being a lazy player. He has the ability, but does he want to graft to get a better career?
-
when a ball is in and around the six yard box, you would expect and want your goalie to be there claiming it. When he fails to do that or even punch a straight forward ball, it adds pressure to the defence. In saying that, also poor marking costs us. Mind you perhaps with the amount of running brown is expecting our forwards i.e. sutton to do, then is it any suprise that they are knackered and lose concentration?
-
we got what we deserved. We created our own problems by constantly giving the ball away, and not basically being sharp enough. Big Sutton lost his man yet again at a corner, and Fraser is good at shot stopping, but a complete nightmare at the cross ball. Brown was also to slow to bring on Humphrey, he should have been alot earlier to run at Naylor who had been booked.

given the dross the players have served up in the last couple of games, they owe us all a performance. Surely, they aint going to throw away the chance of european football, especially given the run we had previously. Fourth is there, but only if they want it! Get in about Celtic.
-
says yeh who walked out at half time, rather than support, i.e. encourage the team
-
perhaps contract talks have had an impact, i.e. they aint getting what they want, so sod them attitude has arisen.
-
Hammell's signed a new contract for a further two years. Thought there was going to be one annoucment about all the players contracts, or is it all others have turned it down.
-
typical motherwell today. No suprise Utd's first came from a set piece, and thereafter we are chasing the game against 10 players who upped their work rate, sat back and waited for their next opportunity, which was duly delivered. One of those days that happens to us alot! especially when things are looking up. To say we are out of the race for european football is nonsense. Utd wont be as lucky again, Hibs are as up and down as us. Hearts are terrible against everyone but Hibs. Will hearts gain 8 points more than us to the end of the season. Can't see it. Our players just need to roll up their sleaves and work even harder.
-
perhaps, but how many games has he actually played as a striker? Not many by all accounts.
-
mcgeady's final ball lets him down time after time. If he could improve that and get some consistancy he would be a good player. He will get sold for £4 to £5 million in the summer to balance celtic's books.
-
probably more pressure on Hearts. They cant afford to lose. So another close game with one goal winning it i would imagine. So hopefully we get the breaks and sneak it.
-
another very good win against a team who's been doing very well recently. Perhaps they should leave the pitch as it is, as the opposition obviously have a complex playing on it.
-
if this form keeps up it's going to be hard for levein to ignore them. In saying that i pretty sure most of us owe big Craggs an apology for writing him off. Sorry Craggs, but your the man, and long may that continue. In fact a big pat on the back to all of our squad for turning around our season. Lets keep it going and give them the reward of a european footie nexy year. Lets take each game as it comes and win 1 nil and see where we are. 2nd place is still up for grabs if Celtic get stuffed the morra
-
i thought he only gave offside when weir appealed for it.
-
perhaps allowing his team to still have a chance of winning was enough of a motivation. Officials have more or less confirmed that there is one set of rules for the old firm and one for all other teams. With that mindset, is it beyond the belief that they wont cheat to make their lifes easier, by the media and old firm fans? and also to perhaps gain financially with gifts etc. The biggest problem we have is that we dont have enough 'well officials.
-
the thing that angers me the most is the fact the official has not apologised for getting it wrong. How will they ever earn the respect of the players and us fans, if they cant even acknowledge they got an easy decision so wrong. Dougal spouting this crap only adds fuel to the fire. Brainless moran, and that was ment to be one of our better referee's in his day. Attendances are dropping, and you actually wonder if it's part of the reason for staying away. Why continue to pay crazy admission prices to watch blatant incompentance and perhaps down right cheating. Perhaps, things are about to get worse, as the old firm can no longer rely on the big bucks players to dig them out a hole. The old firm and especially Rangers are going to need the help of the 12th man. It's time our provisional clubs grew a set of balls and took some of the media and officials to task. Better not hold my breath.
-
not that old chestnut again. keep the defence as it is. They are doing very well. Just need to concentrate.
-
deflect deflect ............... nothing ever changes. the real issue was the officials cheating. bottom line, cosmetically the pitch aint pretty, but it was playable, as per the officials, and as per our team's outstanding performance of football on the deck. The statement that it could injure a player is stupid. Any pitch, in any condition can injure a player. That's part and parcel of football. Pitch snobery indeed. deflect deflect. Then he has a cheek to say the media and officials are not pampering to Rangers.
