    Baraclough Out

Who exactly are these 'good' signings? MJ and Pearson are the only ones who've actually done well enough to be worth keeping if we stay up.Long is no better than what we had, Straker is just f*cking hopeless, Grant really doesn't add much, Thomas has done nothing, Laing's a bomb scare.McDonald probably wasn't a player he was really looking at he was just recommended and he'll not be here next season anyway.
  2. Would be surprised if we don't end up with 20 away games. It'll be County and Partick at home, Accies away on the last day.
  3. 46 points won't finish 11th, probably even 43 won't so realistically 4 wins from 5 would still do us, maybe even 3 if one of them is against County and they lose tomorrow.
  4. They're hardly a certainty tomorrow, I think they'll win too but it would only be a small surprise if they don't.
  5. If County win on Monday then it is season over in my opinion. We won't make up 6 points in 5 games and unless QOS, Hibs etc do us a favour in the playoffs and beat Rangers then we're going down.Yes Rangers are poor at the moment but they have experienced players who know what they're doing in big games + they'll have the ref on their side. The tie will be over after the first leg at Ibrox. If it's somebody else then we still have a chance but I can't see Rangers not going up through the playoffs. Our only real hope now is for St Mirren to do us a favour.
  6. 43 points is very unlikely to finish 11th, who really cares about where Accies finish anyway.I'd rather they beat RC and Partick.
  7. This is definitely a decisive weekend, Partick could pull away and make it between us and RC or RC could pull away too and leave us looking at a playoff.Personally I think us and County will both win drawing both Partick and Killie into it.Those 2 are on the way down and it's hard to turn it around in that situation, just look at Hibs last season. If we win tomorrow then I reckon Partick will be in the playoff, if we lose it'll probably be us so I think it's safe to say this could turn out to be the most important game of the season.
  8. Guessing it'll be pretty quick after the Partick game, Sunday maybe.
  9. Every game recently has been built up as a 'must win' but i'd say this probably is our most important game of the season so far.If we lose it'll knock any confidence that's been gained recently out of the team and fans.A draw would leave Ross Co with a chance to move further clear and the 3 point gap is already bad enough considering our goal diff is much worse. I think it'll be a nervy 2-1 for us, Accies are in even worse form than us and if we play like we did in the last 2 home games we should beat them.
  10. We cost them the league in 08 too, 0-0 in the second last game.
  11. Am I the only one who thinks it's a great signing? He's capable of making his own chances if he gets the ball around the box and any SPFL team other than Celtic would be happy to have a player like him.He did ok at Millwall who've been dire most of the season and he's not that old so i'd be surprised if he doesn't get 7/8 goals in the last 12 games even for us.
  12. Somebody could have 500 apps at the lower end of the English leagues, doesn't mean they're any good.I can see why the York fan who was on here said he's the worst player he's ever seen. He's Conference level at best in England which is about league 1 here.
  13. Probably because there's no money to bring in any other staff for that sort of thing, lets be honest that's why AB got that job too.Never heard of any other club promoting somebody from media manager to one of the main men at the club, no offence.
  14. Typical English coach who's been going around the lower leagues in England and thinks any diddy can come into the SPFL and make an impact. The only one who looks better than what we have is grant, Laing is a bomb scare, Straker should be nowhere near any Premier league sides starting 11, the goalie is no better than what we had which begs the question what the fuck was the point signing him when we needed players in other positions? The others are average but no improvement on what we had. We went for the cheap option and it's backfired. He doesn't have the experience to deal with a team in our situation and if we continue with what we've seen recently then we're going down, simple as that.Dundee looked a pretty poor side to me but they beat us comfortably, no fight, no quality, nothing to show we're capable of grinding out a few results.Get somebody with SPL experience in now, it's not going to get any better under IB.
  15. You can't pick and choose what games we need points from and where we can accept defeats, not in this sort of position. We just need to find a way of getting points from as many games as possible but considering how sh1te the bottom 2 are 1 win from 4 would probably still leave us in 10th.
  16. Just shows how bad RC and St Mirren are.On paper we're not that much worse off than last season but we've looked as bad if not worse than the Malpas season. At least we were scoring a few goals then.
  17. Always the same after a bad defeat, people predicting we'll get humped but it very rarely happens like that.Still think we'll get beat but i'd be surprised if there's more than 2 goals in it.
  18. There was less bother at this game than the lc one.I only saw 2 people getting lifted/chucked out both in the first half. One seemed to have no idea what was happening as half a dozen police came rushing up the stairs and surrounded him midway through the first half, anyone know what that was about? Saw a couple of smoke bombs but nothing major, apart from the result I was more pissed off about the state of the seats at the Morrisons end.Covered in bird shit and all sorts, looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months.
  19. Watched it on the tele and i'm quite surprised that people who were their thought Lasley had a poor game, for me he was our best outfield player, always looking for the ball and covered more grass than most.Angol looked ok but he lacks confidence when it comes to taking a man on, he's always looking for a sideways or backwards pass rather than having a go at somebody.Vigurs was utter rubbish barring a couple of decent bits of skill, he can't do the simple thing.Half a dozen times he had a pass on but proceeded to run about with the ball like a headless chicken before losing it.Our best players by far was Twardzik again, could have been worse than last year if they'd been a bit more clinical though. As for the pens I thought Angols was a certain pen, he moved his arm up towards the ball and the cross came from a good 10 yards away.None of the others were pens.
  20. Think people are getting a bit carried away by our lack of support. The 2800 home crowd is more than was at the St Mirren, Partick or St Johnstone games.Even Dundee-Aberdeen didn't get to 6000.There just seems to be a real lack of interest in the cup over the last 3/4 years, those sort of crowds are what you'd have expected for league cup games 10 years ago.
  21. There's no chance it would be Davies, he's Billy big baws now there's no way he'd take a step back into the SPFL and why would we want a manager back when he almost got us relegated last time. Surely Butcher is the only sensible choice, he's got experience, good motivator, did ok with what he had last time and he's unemployed.
  22. If Motherwell went bust then nobody, think i'd completely lose interest in Scottish football if that happened. If they'd never existed then probably Celtic since most of my family/friends support them.
  23. There's no way the bottom 3 could be relegated this season, the rules were agreed on before the season starts so any attempt to change them mid season would likely result in all sorts of legal action being taken by teams near the bottom.More likely the league would be expanded but most likely they'll just leave it as is and whoever gets Rangers in the playoff (if they're in it) will get some 'dubious' decisions going against them.
  24. We need somebody to give the players the boot up the a*se that they clearly need, Butcher or Calderwood but ffs not Adams, his motivational skills strike me as being non existent.
  25. To be fair they policed our fans in a very similar way to what they do with the OF, big crowd so we'll just stand and watch while the majority of police in the ground stood down in front of the 100 or so accies fans in that corner, if they'd waded in like at St Mirren there would've been serious crowd trouble in our end. Something that's not been picked up on yet is our great travelling support yesterday, when was the last time we took 2200 to an away game.
