Ciftci undoubtably has quality, but again the goal drought is a bit concerning. That said, I don't know the circumstances of how he's been plaing, formation etc during that period. He didnt really get a look-in at Celtic and no idea about him down south. You'd like to think being deployed with Tanner, who can create and pick a pass/through-ball and Frear/Tait's delivery from wide areas, it just might come off.

Under Baraclough there were no Hearts, Hibs or Rangers in the league. Personally if we avoid the play-offs with a few games to go, It'll have been an ok season. Safety, a cup final and a wad of cash. If you'd have said that at the start of the season I'd imagine a lot of people would have settled for it. Can't really expect to fully turn around a team in 1 season. Hopefully with the winterbreak we get a chance to re-group and push on. It'll maybe be another team's turn to go on a dire run soon.

(This isnt a dig btw in case it comes over as one) But surely if its impossible to call the ref cant give the decision. I think half the problem is that they are using guesswork to give decisions and hoping for the best, particularly when certain teams are involved. We also now have the situation where 'contact' is being used as a get out of jail card. A foul still requires to be committed for a team to be penalised. Contact is irrelevant.

Its a mixture of shitebaggery and 'guesswork'/'hope for the best-work' Makes life easier to give/deny in alot of cases. I dont think the refs go into the game actively looking to give/deny decisions, but they fold in the seconds during which the decision is Made. Apparently refs have to be certain to penalise, but that clearly isnt the case in some instances.

Keep initiating contact in the box and hit the deck. See if a penalty is given to us
