  1. Ha,there are a number of things like this which grate and cannot be unseen. One of mine is Lasley(and others) half-heartedly showing for the ball at a throw in then running away.
  2. We were lucky to get nil there. Complete lack of movement off the ball and their first two goals were a defensive shambles. The third the usual case of backing off. That was painful to sit through. I'll be there on Sat, but not particularly excited by the prospect.
  3. That could maybe go for us tbh. Law of averages etc. Not often teams (outwith Celtic) go on extended runs.
  4. I'd go Cadden. Not much to pick from though.
  5. Have to disagree. While some of Faddy's cameos in the past have been dubious, today we were immediately more creative when he came on. Movement was far better and he was looking to play adventurous passes. Indeed, Faddy getting the ball on the left cutting in, looking for options, then eventually picking out Tait was the build up to our goal.
  6. Pretty dreadful for the most part. Slack passes and a lack of urgency and bite. Partick weren't any great shakes, but had a number of chances. Hammell hung Samson out to dry with the goal, nothing he could have done. Not passing the ball across your own 18 yd line is basic schoolboy stuff. A lot more creative when Faddy and latterly Ainsworth came on. Disallowed goal looked legit to me, but will happily take the point
  7. Yeah, not been pretty there recently and that main stand is a riot Will be there anyway, hopefully a similar game to yesterday.
  8. If the £650k figure is accurate, then this is a perfect example of how the club should be operating. Its also entirety possible that Belic is as good as or better. He seems well thought of at West Ham, who are a massive club with a renowned youth academy. Time will tell.
  9. Ryan Bowman from Gateshead confirmed
  10. Does it not just need to be lodged by 12. The Sfa could take a wee while to process, although there doesn't seem to be much else going on.
  11. As I said, peurile headline. ... Wont let me post pic. Try this link and scroll down a bithttp://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/7230689/Scottish-football-LIVE-All-the-latest-transfers-new-deals-and-stories-from-your-club.html
  12. It is... Its a terrible joke about the website being down.
  13. Lol. What a ridiculous headline. For those who cant load it... It goes on to say the club website is down, as if that is a vital component to signing players.
  14. It's entirely possible that Oxford have requested the 'undisclosed' statement. ... or what Melvin Bragg said.
  15. I think its technically a 'registration' deadline, so would assume the deadline refers to the team doing the registering at their respective FA. So 12 deadline for us for incoming players.
  16. Was about to post something similar.
  17. Flow saying we're looking to BUY someone before deadline.
  18. Confirmed on mfc twitter
  19. Its hard for the club as there's no guarantee another offer will come in etc. No player is bigger than the club and there comes a point where £x00,000 is far more important to the future viability of the club than any player. On the day Johnson signed we'd have all bitten of your hand for, for example,£500k. If it is Oxford, its extremely unlikely its going to be anything approaching £1m.
  20. IF Johnson goes to OU, it could well be spun as them smashing their transfer record. 500k, whilst lower than some may have hoped, is decent business.
  21. Aside from some apparent Aston Villa correspondent, is there any suggestion an offer has been accepted?
  22. Chalmers, Tait and Cadden did well, as did Clay and Lasley. Johnson was good, but then threw in the towel/spat the dummy. I'm going to go Chalmers. 1st half he dealt with Forrester/Tavernier pretty comfortably. Second half similar until late on. He was getting forward, retaining the ball and finding a man when he could. Prob best performance I've seen from him.
  23. Yeah, Clay was good yesterday, a few loose passes and/or wrong options sometimes, but that's to be expected. He ran himself into the ground and was visibly knackered. Even at that, I was a bit reticent to sub him off as he was fulfilling his role and disrupting that may have led to concession of a late goal.
  24. Rangers had huge amounts of the ball but did nothing with it. Never particularly felt threatened. Thought we were fairly comfortable and was quite happy for them to play sideways passes around the middle third. Foderingham had good saves from McDonald and Johnson. Same old frustrating story really.
