    The Players

I would like to think win bonuses come well down the motivional pecking-order, after professional pride, competitive nature/will to win etc etc.

    The Players

Glad its not just me and someone else is seeing this.Persistently offside and running around with his hands in the air. Said on other thread, some good hold-up play, but then he'll hold onto the ball too long or give ball away.
  3. The problem with Law is, he will play ok but then let a guy drift past him or not close down a cross, which will result in conceding a goal.
  4. Very much this. Our inability to block, or tendency to back off crosses/shots etc is lamentable.
  5. I think McDonald gets off a bit lightly His hold up play can be very good, but he is perpetually offside, picks the wrong option and/or gives away possession. Cadden played well enough.Outwith that I'm struggling though. Thomas did ok for the time he was on. Ripley did as well as could be expected.
  6. I would go more .........Ripley Law McManus Kennedy Hammell ........... Gomis ..........Cadden Pearson...... Ainsworth................Johnson ............McDonald
  7. Even if they could recall him, they wouldn't be able to register him outwith the transfer window?
  8. Not overly impressed with the scapegoaing either, not least because it's a bit tenuous to blame Ainsworth for the goal. Our players routinely back off when someone in about to get a cross into the box etc - Are we going to slaughter them all? The hurried and slack passes/clearances allowed Thisle to keep pressure on
  9. Long ball shite. If we're going to do that, put Fletcher up front, not Johnson.
  10. I have us, Palace, Stoke and West Brom £4 = £280
  11. Just saw photos of the nick of the pitch. Ooft. We, quite rightly, got slated for it. Theirs looks equally as bad. No clamour for points deductions etc though. Anyway... Quite looking forward to it. Will be cutting it fine, so will need to be a Brisk walk (or taxi) up Maryhill Rd
  12. To be fair, the 6-6 Hibs game and Jutkiewicz's volley were on a horrific pitch, so you never know.
  13. Bit late replying, but I'm in city centre, so about 2 miles.
  14. Absolutely cracking day in Glasgow now. Blue skies and Sun out.
  15. Harsh scoreline to be fair. The right final ball and we could have had a few as well
  16. Its incredibly frustrating seeing players close down the opposition, only to stop 5 yards off and allow the pass/cross/shot anyway. If you're going to press, you need to go the whole way and your teammates have to be on their toes to intercept the pass which is forced etc. Worrying trend of not tracking runs as well. Hopefully we'll get that kind of stuff ironed out under McGhee.
  17. Got tickets yesterday and will have Bro in law in tow. The only other time he's been, we played Celtic and won. Likewise, West Ham have never lost when I've gone with him. More of the same please. Apparently Celtic have a few injury concerns.
  18. I was thinking the same thing about the whole 'Craggs' issue. Reminds me of McCoist a bit. On the face of it, appears players and manager are too close. Needs do be a professional distance kept. Just my opinion, mind.
  19. To be honest, at the game the Police appeared to be wading in for no apparent reason. We had no idea from about 15 rows back that anything was happening. Maybes a few fans were in the wrong, I don't know, but the response was completely disproportionate. I have observed similar from a (short) distance before un Paisley etc. The ironic thing is, when there is disorder -ripping up seats, being hit with coins etc - they do nothing and adopt a 'passive policing' approach.
  20. Ha, that's gone right over my head.Before my football-going time...Just.
  21. Agree re Larsson. Would be a perpetual Celtic wankfest
  22. Radio Clyde already spouting Gus Mcpherson etc

    Baraclough Out

Says it all when the Well fans join in with the "sacked in the morning" chant. I liked Baraclogh and what he has said in the press and there have been a few glimpses of something, but its getting to the stage where he just looks out of his depth. Some utterly baffling tactics and selections at times. Of course, the players need to have a word with themselves too. Some of it is basic, basic stuff which the manager shouldn't have to explain. Loved the play-offs, but would rather not be in them again.
