If Rangers do qualify for Europe, and subsequently "lose" their license, by going into admin etc. They would then be subject to a 3 year European ban(I think). As someone said, its discussed in another thread, with Real Mallorca/Villareal situation being cited as an example of a license being revoked. Edit: 3 years may be pish... depends on UEFA, but certainly a ban of some sort.

Better for both parties to release them, let them develop elsewhere and free up cash than having a perpetual benchwarmer.

I had club Europe hospitality a few seasons ago via someone from work. Drank their free beer, eat their free food then watched us equalize (Skippy I think?) late on. A bit of abuse from the club deck when I let out a large cheer. Fun though.

Would agree with that. When I was at Knowetop/Dalziel the majority folk supported Motherwell. Edit: or at least went to the games no matter who they say they support now.
