  1. Really impressed with some of our football today, terrific passing movements and we tore them a new one on a good few occasions. Couldn't disagree with either red card, Black is an obnoxious ned who you just knew was seeing red. Las a bit unllucky, seemed to be just out of time on both tackles and got a yellow for both. Three games, no goals conceeded, team playing well and top of the league.
  2. Sporting Life says big Higdon could be back on Sunday.... Sporting Life
  3. SPL Website now has it 21st at 2.15pm
  4. Pretty sure there have been exceptions in the past.
  5. With Celtic and Rangers both been drawn away first leg could be Rangers play on the Wednesday night I suppose........ Edit Sky says first leg on August 18th....
  6. Good win for the under 19s against Blackburn Rovers today.... Under 19s
  7. More likely a sweetener to go.....
  8. Not only that. Best part of a grand for the cheapest season ticket and they still win nothing!
  9. Think they've improved quite a bit since last season though. Brechin took Saint Johnstone to a reply in the Scottish Cup Quarters last season. We should progress, but I fancy it'll be tighter than it would appear.
  10. Clyde won 4-2 aet away to Brechin City first round, this won't be easy! Mark Archdeacon, ex-Fir Parker, scored in that tie.
  11. Good few SPL clubs won't fancy their draw that's for sure! In fact I'd say ours was the best of the lot.
  12. Scottish Communities League Cup 2nd Round Draw: Hibs v Berwick Rangers, East Fife v Dunfermline, St. Johnstone v Livingston, Airdrie Utd v Raith Rovers, Falkirk v Stenhousemuir, Ayr Utd v Inverness CT, QOS v Forfar, Morton v St. Mirren, Hamilton v Ross County, Clyde v Motherwell, Aberdeen v Dundee
  13. I'll bet O'Reilly creams himself in excitement awaiting Jenno's first challenge. In fact he'll probably start the game with the yellow card in his hand ready to dish it out the moment Steve looks at someone the wrong way.
  14. They haven't kicked a ball since March. Arrogant feckers.
  15. We are top scorers in the SPL alongside Rangers. Not bad for a team which can't score.......
  16. Wasn't so long ago Kilmarnock were easily bringing in double that for a game against teams like ourselves. 892 is a pretty good away support for us down there to be honest.
  17. Good point today. I know they have a lot of new personnel but they seem to have replaced what they lost with players not a million miles off. Aye, would've been great to win and we had the chances, but they aint no mugs and I doubt any of us wouldn't have taken a point pre-match.
  18. And so it starts........... Wigan Athletic have had a bid rejected by Motherwell for striker Jamie Murphy according to newspaper reports in Scotland The young striker was the subject of quite a bit of interest last weekend when scouts from several Premier League clubs watched as he scored the second goal in Motherwell`s 3-0 win over SPL rivals Inverness CT, but it appears that the Latics are the first to test the water with a solid bid. It is being reported that although the initial bid was turned down that dialogue between the two clubs is ongoing to reach a deal to bring the 21 year old south of the border. Stoke, Spurs, Wolves and West Brom are understood to also be interested in the highly regarded youngster. Read more: http://www.wigan.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=248844#ixzz1TZc1NJXo
  19. Alba had it up first, guess when the other two come in they have to give it up.They now have Saint MIrren v Hibs on.
  20. Griffiths would be a non-starter, McCarthy apparently would not send him up here.
  21. STV with the latest, spot the usual crappy hack mistake............. TODAY'S RUMOURS Rangers will sell Bougherra to fund moves for Verhoek and Goodwillie The Algerian defender could be moved on to generate funds to reinvest in the forward pair (Daily Record) Celtic interested in Motherwell striker Jamie Murphy's performances for Motherwell have meant Celtic have joined West Brom and Wolves in the hunt for the striker (Daily Express) Martinez wants Snodgrass to replace N'Zogbia Scotland international Robert Snodgrass is wanted by Wigan manager, Robert Martinez as a replacement for Charles N'Zogbia (Daily Mirror) Wigan added to list of Goodwillie suitors Jamie Murphy's performances for Motherwell have meant Celtic have joined West Brom and Wolves in the hunt for the striker (Daily Mail
  22. If it happens, it'll be probably similar to their joke bids for Goodwillie and Davidson. They needn't bother.
  23. From what I could see it looked like Higdon was trying to free himself from the clutches ofTokely, he was all over our man and somehow managed to get away without a booking despite his typical clugging all game.
  24. Wondering what the African select was. Still, good to see Tony Rialist getting on the scoresheet again!
