  1. DFL has sold the right to broadcast Bundesliga in the UK and Ireland to ESPN. They can show up to five matches per weekend and a summary of the whole weekend. The deal will last three years (until 2011/12).
  2. I'd love to know the stats for each centre-half in each team throughout the country. By the very nature of where they play in a team, they are always going to score more oggys than anyone else in the team. Craggo's just been right unlucky, last night for example that could've gone anywhere. Still the first name on the team sheet for me.
  3. Cheers Julian! Got a couple of text messages from Julian when he was at the game, sounded like he'd had a sherbet or two!
  4. Gotta look at the bigger picture. We'll look back on this and learn from it big-time.
  5. Think we would accept winning next week if not going through. Football is a funny old game and anything is possible. Still, reckon our pre-season will have us prepared much more than just about anyon else.
  6. Don't think we are kidding ourselves. And, Steaua fans, you'll find we are quite decent folk if we get fairly and squarely beaten. Don't come on here with an arrogant, smug attitude - and you'll get good, friendly and honest discussion. In saying that, still hope we can turn this around!
  7. Kinda hope they are happy with their lot and get complacent. They are a good side, but we haven't exactly helped ourselves much.
  8. Hopefully, he's the real thing (Coke, I mean)..........
  9. Aye, me too!! That's the worst part about following a game in this manner. A chance will come for us at some point, it simply has too....and we quite simply MUST take it.
  10. That could prove to be aboslutely crucuial....superb, Ruddy superb.
  11. You're hardly going to say any different, are you? Many a Ref would've ignored it.
  12. That's exactly what they expected us to do, thought we wouldn't but looks like that's the tactics thus far. If we are doing that and looking for knock-ons, then Murpny should be on for his pace.
  13. They might be quick, but if they put so much effort in the first part of the match they won't have that kind of pace the full 90. Keep it tight things might open up later on.
  14. That possession count must be based on the few seconds we had the ball to force the corner....Need to get the ball and hold it for a while.
  15. Steaua fans - approve of your team's diving????
  16. Interesting half-time elsewhere....CKSA Sofia 0 Derry City 0. Even when you are under the cosh, anything is still possible.
  17. Well done Craggo. Jennings needs a wee rocket up his erse, hopefully that's woken him up.
  18. That old boy summing up for them is like a cross between Phil Thompson and Pat Nevin.....
  19. Gannon's simple philosophy of "if they are good enough, they are old enough" is good enough for me.

    Paul Mcgrillen

Won't ever forget his joy at scoring goals, especially that one where both he and the late, great Uncle Phil downed FHW at Fir Park. Sad, sad day.

    Paul Mcgrillen

Shocked and very saddened indeed. Can't believe this. RIP Paul.
  22. Aye, Big Jock certainly did know.... that we'd beat Spurs.
  23. Turkish officials tomorrow, Spanish ones next week. Wonder what Turkish-Romanian relations are like thse days?
  24. Some hilarious (not) jokes at our expense here..... Ho-fecking-ho........zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  25. This is shocking I think.... BBC ALBA to show Celtic's Champions League clash with Dynamo - but not until tomorrow Jul 29 2009 Craig Swan BBC Alba have secured the exclusive rights to screen Celtic's Champions League clash with Dynamo Moscow - but the game won't be on air until tomorrow night. Fans hoping to watch tonight's action live will have to buy a ticket for Parkhead as the broadcast will be at 10pm tomorrow. But BBC ALBA will have live coverage of Celtic's pre-season match against Sunderland at Parkhead on Saturday. The station's Alan Esslemont said: "Our coverage of the SPL brought something new to Scottish fans last season and this Celtic double bill brings football back to BBC ALBA with a flourish. "It sets us up perfectly for the return of SPL football on the channel for the new season." BBC Alba? As in Scottish? Are ye sure? Whit the feck is wrong with showing our game, I'd imagine the cost wouldn't be much different surely as to what you are lining Shellic's pockets with.
