  1. With all due respect to Leitchy, he in no way could be ready to take us forward and continue our recent improvement since the Malpas times. Would need to be experienced for sure as next year's SPL will be very tough. Maybe in the future at some point, but not now. We've suffered too much in the past with untried Managers who have proved nothing.
  2. I'd agree, I don't think Krysiak did anything wrong yesterday. The errors for their goals were down to those who should have been defending properly.
  3. Could you imagine the leccy bills keeping his suntan up?!?!
  4. Whit ye talkin about? You lot cannae fecking play on it either!! No league wins at your new place..............
  5. I think it would be compensation big-time if they did approach and get him. Sadly, I could well see it happening.
  6. Would be anything but funny. I fail to see how Saint Mirren could possibly beat Motherwell to the place. Even accounting for the fact that there's more than just bookings/sendings-off to consider, they two teams are so similar on and off the park that somebody has got to be at it should the place go to the Paisley team.
  7. Telegraph It's started......... Calderwood, who moved to Aberdeen from Dunfermline in 2004, was the subject of persistent speculation throughout the season, despite his accomplishment in steering the side to the last 32 of the Uefa Cup last year. An uncertain start to the current campaign, coupled with continued inability to make an impact in the domestic cup competitions, meant that Calderwood was never truly secure, although he still had two-and-a-half years left on his contract, as did his assistants, Jimmy Nichol and Sandy Clark, who have also left the club. It is understood that the decision about his future was made last week, but Calderwood was not specific in the immediate aftermath of the 2-1 home victory over Hibernian that saw Aberdeen edge Dundee United out of a place in next season's Europa League. "Time will tell - we've got to talk and we'll see what happens," said Calderwood. "I love Aberdeen - the club and the city. We are going to have to talk about a few things and come to a conclusion - I still have a contract for two years. "Right now I want to concentrate on what we just achieved. We've got a wonderful record, Jimmy, Sandy and I. We left a club, Dunfermline, when they were in Europe and, outside the Old Firm, we have been the most consistent in the top six of the SPL. "We've been in Europe three times but there are people who say that it's not good enough." Asked if he was referring to the letter sent by the supporters' group, Aberdeen FC Trust, and if that had been a particular problem, Calderwood replied: "Nothing has disillusioned me but if you look at the players we have lost in the last few years, we could have had a magnificent team." McGhee would be a popular choice with many Aberdeen supporters, given his status as one of the legendary side who won the European Cup-Winners' Cup under Alex Ferguson in 1983, plus his accomplishment in taking Motherwell to third place in the SPL last season.
  8. I tell you what, if anyone but Motherwell has won it, there had better be an enquiry into it. Saint Mirren are about as entertaining as a night with Bella Emberg would be..........

    So It Begins...

It's interesting to see the turf removed and that corner up the far end of the East being a different colour to the rest of the park!

    Dougie Returns!

Over the past couple of years there have been a few former players becoming involved behind the scenes. These are the sort-of folk who should be at the club, they are the people who understand like we fans do what it means. Great to see Dooooooooooooooooogie back.
  11. Just saw the winner there. Hughes didn't exactly cover himself in glory with his reaction to Fernandez, though where was the cover for Taouill ( who certaintly got a big deflection to take his shot in).
  12. Gonna take you a while to get the splinters out of them considering how much time he has spent on the bench.
  13. Did anyone else notice the Kilmarnock subbie took his jacket off and gave it to the guy?

    So It Begins...

It's weird to see the pitch disappear so shortly after the game! Would love to be able to tell all the knockers over the past while that we have the best pitch in the country once it's done. Sure it will be, great update and looking forward to more!
  15. Penalty denied...anyone agree????
  16. I just thought Quinn deserves criticism for a needless yellow. There's one thing in caring about what happens on the field of play, his just looked to me like he lost the rag in his personal battle with Taouill. Nothing to do with anythig other than that, or so it seemed. It was a stupid, pointless yellow card to concede and irrespective of who gained it, the fact remains it was stupid. I wouldn't have cared if it had been David Clarkson, Kilmpl or Quinn who was booked. It simply shouldn't have happened.

    Pa

They need to take whatever they have at the turnstyles and put it inside the ground. Waiting to go through pre-match, we were nearly deafened when the "test" message went out. However, inisde, you could barely make out a single word which was said.

    Kilmarnock

I thought Stretch had a good match and took his goal well. Completing his rehabilitation with flying colours I'd say.
  19. Was really disappointed in the attitude towards the away fans. They did nothing wrong, merely attempted to create an atmosphere and have a good time at a game which meant nothing. None of the inflatables were intended to harm, or go anywhere near the pitch, so where was the problem? Created an incident when there wasn't one to begin with.
  20. 10 points lost this season to that shite. And they are. Thought we were a wee bit all over the place at the back at times, and were getting regularly caught out down either wing when the visitors attacked. Still, bigger picture I guess was the European issue and I will be absolutely gobsmacked if we don't get that place now.

    Bbc Alba

Had to end sometime I suppose. But the annoying thing for me is it was they feckers.........
  22. Was seriously pissed off at Quinn today when he was booked. It was always coming, he and Taouill had been niggling away at each other for the entire match. The fact that Saint Mirren evened up the bookings means, I suspect, that whatever the position was at the start of today, it will still be that now.
  23. I'd really love to know how that could possibly be the case. Simples today, back the team from start to finish, show the visitors the utmost respect, no bookings and attack from start to finish, and nae bugger on the pitch at the end of the game. Match Delegate - Ally Dawson. He's been at Accies as Manager between 99 and 03, don't think we did anything to upset them then, though didn't he "assist" Brian McLair to his hat-trick in 1983? Delegate at Paisley is Alan Dick. Hopefully he's still on friendly terms with us at Fir Park..............
  24. Whilst walking up to the game with Toxteth I had some neanderthal come up to me and try to persuade me to part with my ticket for £400. When it became clear to the tit that I wasn't for parting with it he then gave it theold shite about only pretending to want to buy it. I'd love to have been able to part with it and been able to sit nearby and ask him if it was worth it some 92 minutes in!
