  1. Hampden ------- to utilise Humphrey and Murphy in the open spaces
  2. I stand each, North to The Farmers and South to us is what was being said on radio today. I'd also voice that the more fans we take to the semi, the more likely we are to have a larger allocation for the Final - should we get there.
  3. Indeed Matt, it was just my interpretation of how it looks on that site, which was where I thought all this talk of petrol blue originated from. Suppose I just like the idea of something retro and connected with 1886. Plenty other Clubs have done similar so why not MFC ? Besides it'll hopefully provide me with a wee opportune momento to celebrate MFC 125 and Me 50
  4. Have a uncomfortable feeling about this one
  5. This SITE shows Glencairn and Alpha both wore Petrol Blue, although it shows MFC's 1st strip was blue and white stripes. The site seems to change from time to time as I remember it showing Alpha as a white shirt and black pants before the merger with Glencairn and MFC's 1st strip being the same as Glencairn's .... why that has changed ??? Anyway, given May 2011 is the Club's 125th anniversary I and many others on here thought it an opportunity to celebrate our roots and encourage the Club to release a one-season only strip more related to our original colours .... be they whatever.
  6. is this instead of the silver one need more bait on that hook this time
  7. At least you made the effort Mr Taff. Polite applause
  8. Never liked him beforehand, and even less now
  9. 2 Port Vale fans in as many days ! Welcome aboard guys.

  11. If it had a historical connection with the Club's past then yes .............. but to my knowledge silver is alien to MFC .............. so they can poke it where the sun don't shine Please tell me it's a wynd up or an early April Fool
  12. Thankfully way way way too many to mention. Some from Leftfield.......... 1-0 at Parkhead 1994, the day after the Beggarz were saved from oblivion. Dougie scores and over 2000 'Well fans sing "Part-time supporters, you're only part-time supporters. 1-0 at Swynecastle 1982, kept the Jambos in the 1st Div and we went up as Champs, and I started work in Edinburgh the following week. 3-2 against the Tims in the Cup in the mid 70's. 2 down at half-time then up step Bobby Graham, Ian Taylor and the Grew to make it 3-2. 3-1 v Spurs in the Texaco Cup 1971. We lost the 1st leg 3-2 and the Double winning Spurs side scored early at Fir Park. Brian Heron, Bobby Watson and Tom Donnelly sent a packed Fir Park wild as we progressed to the Semi. 3-0 v the Buns in 1991 2nd last game of season. Win and they'd won the League, but they were sent packing. Also the Shed's last stand, as seats went in after that.
  13. We're due them both at home surely
  14. One never knows Life as a 'Well fan.
  15. Looks like non-attenders are casting votes
  16. I thought we had a chance beforehand, to get something from this game. However, imho appalling Refereeing turned the game ... firstly with Jennings booking then Tumilty's refusal to book a Killie player for a worse tackle, then that joke of a penalty. Yesterday, not for the want of trying, it just did not go our way.
  17. Good shout Iain ......... Motherwell -v- St Johnstone at Tynecastle, Motherwell -v- Brechin at East End Park or Almondvale makes more sense . And if Utd make it thru why not have their Semi at Pittodrie ? Hampden is a pointless option given the 4 teams in our side of the draw. In 1991 Utd played their semi at East End Park, (against St Johnstone)
  18. lol, it doesn't take much bait to set you off !
