  2. Band is too low and it needs some amber mate
  3. Sounded really loud on the telly ....... well done folks
  4. "Goal Machine" apparently
  5. We're actually a 'shire team Taff, much of our core support comes from outwith the town of Motherwell itself.
  6. 1/2 the Main Stand, the whole Rangers End and virtually the whole North Terrace ....... must have been somewhere between 35,000 - 40,000.

    Semi Final

I know they will all be bitterly disappointed but everyone on that Team Bus returning to Fir Park tonight can hold their head high. They deserve great credit for their attitude and performance today. Our favourites in Claret & Amber gave the most successful football Club in the world a real scare this afternoon, and with a bit of luck could have booked a deserved place in the Final. I came back from walking the dog this afternoon, looked out my Motherwell shirt and sat down in front of the TV expecting a humping, and got far from it. Now lets take the many positives from this afternoon's game and climb up that League table.
  8. The Montford was a Motherwell pub for the CIS Final.
  9. Only ever went once, (to Easter Road late 70's). Was helping my father out in the shop at Shotts when I was sent an erand up to Stane Corner. Saw Bomis (RIP), Panjo and Fergie in the Cafe all scarfed up and waiting for the bus ............. not that it took much but they coaxed me into "telling" my father I was going to the game It worked, he gave me a fiver and off I went. Great day out, think I was the only sober one on the bus ......... eh Winker + That was a steep hill in Arbroath, bluddy knackered by the time I got to the top. Thankfully the locals had all ran off, was way too knackered to swap pleasantries
  10. None of us are John Boyle, so we know not how he handled it and therefore not in a position to offer criticism imho. What we should consider, before sticking the boot in though, are the parameters/constraints the Club had to shoulder during their search: We could not afford compensation so the candidate had to be unattached, (that would narrow it down a bit), We are not Real Madrid, (that would narrow it down a bit more), We operate under a very limited budget, (that would narrow it down even more), We operate in the pointless shytehole that is the SPL, (at this point is anyone still interested). Quite frankly I'm surprise we were able to attract someone at all. StMc may be the right man, he may be the wrong man but FFS lets give hime a chance. He's just in the phuken door
  11. You might be as cheap flying to Belfast and getting the ferry over Julian
  12. Well done to the MST for their endeavours and to Leanne and Derek for their willingness to appear in front of the Jury
  13. Eh Gordy, you don't like doing things the easy way Got that Odense Trip book written yet ? + The Montford was 'Well fans only for the Leauge Cup Final, (bar a couple of daft Currents in the corner), but I'd suggest getting their early as the Stewards don't let it get too full.
  14. This is where the SPL let themselves down, scheduling midweek fixtures in the last week of January ........... a time when most folks are waiting desperately for that 1st wage packet following the expenses of their New Year celebrations and Jan Sales. In saying that St J are a better team than the one we beat 4-0 earlier in the season. Hopefully we've found a bit of confidence from Saturday's win, and with folks playing 'in' position we can take something from this.
  15. I didn't see the "front page" inuendo until I spotted the clue on page-2. I just thought it was meant to signify 2-faced
  16. ended up fighting amongst themselves up the back of the South Stand apparently
  17. More likely to be the aftermath of the Current Buns defeat, especially in the Brandon
  18. just watched the goals on Alba .......... not sure if Murphy got his head to the ball, but Saunders certainly did ............ nice goal young man but the pitch looks like shortbread just weeks after looking pretty damn good for the Jamboscum match
  19. That'll do very nicely. Hibs are hurting, and have been our bogey recently, and today's fixture was therefore gonna be tricky so I'll take this result and enjoy a wee dram or two tonight. A very well done to Stuart, Kenny and the boys
  20. Tonight I will raise a wee glass to honour Wellworn and his Motherwell following adventures. I think many of us on here will take a few good tales of following the 'Well with us when it's time to bow out. My condolences to the family. Here's to you Wellworn
  21. Best of luck to the new Management/Coaching team
