I was in the Black Isle last year, the week before going to just my 4th game of the season (Odense away). A man held a door open for me in a pub in Rosemarkie, and under his jacket I recognised a claret collar on an amber shirt. "Is that a Motherwell top?" I said. "Yes" was his reply, and that was the signal for a good old blether about Motherwell. We were instant associates, much to the humour of the locals. What did it matter who goes how often to see the 'Well ? Motherwell was/is our team, we have a common goal and that creates an instant bond in my book.

Was in the old North Stand for both Airdrie games, but the bulk of the Motherwell support was in the Mount Florida End, as was the smaller Airdrie support - over the fence though.

Word from within is he works very hard and has the players on board. Arrived at a very difficult time, with many at a low ebb, (myself included), but to his credit we seem to have stabilised. Nothing but praise from me so far.

As many know, I hated the dithery auld fudd before he arrived. I appreciated what he did in his time at Fir Park, however I found the manner of his departure utterly appalling and completely contradictory to all that he has voiced to the eager media over the decades. When I heard his interview on Traynor's radio show last night I was almost spitting blood. I was so angry I stopped the car and and vented my anger on a stack of hay wrapped in black plastic ..... you know the stuff that looks like huge black puddng. I'm not defending JB, or otherwise, but imho Broon's a manipulative auld fukker, very adept at playing the media, and I wouldn't trust the wee fat shyte as far as I could throw him.
