Ravenscraig is Motherwell imho and always will be. How many thought "I'm home" when the cooling towers of the 'Craig came into view from the M74 ? Just like the former villages of Ladywell, Flemington, Knowetop, Shields, Jerviston and so on, it's Motherwell FFS. Jeez Fir Park was outwith Motherwell when our beloved MFC relocated there in 1895. To ensure long term viability MFC has to evolve, and that evolution requires change along the way. Stick your head in the sand and fail to embrace this evolution and we'll end up like Renton, St Bernards, Kings Park, etc., Embrace it, like our forefathers did, and our descendants will have a Club to support.

My thoughts too Mr A. Sure in a one-too-one comparison Barnsley are a bigger club than MFC, and will no doubt be able to pay a far higher wage. However, in real terms once more the SPL and possibly featuring in Europe has lost out to the English Championship, and for MFC and the game in Scotland that is not good IMHO. Best of luck to him though, and Barnsley.

What's the fuss ? Beit at Fir Park, up the 'Craig, down the Strathy or at the bottom of the White Walk .................. we need a more modern (low maintenence) stadium, with a decent pitch, and facilities which will attract revenue sreams 7 days a week. The 'Craig aint any further from FP than FP was from Roman Road.
