  1. My thoughts too. Here's to him doing so
  2. You make a good point Mr B. There is a recession on, which football has blinkered itself from. I doubt many doting fathers could justify to themselves or their other halves spending around £40 on 2 football tickets. Slightly heading off at a tangent, sorry ...... when I read of Portsmouth's "factual" plight, I actually hope they do go to the wall. Time for a major reality check in football...... a club who attract average crowds of no more than 20,000 accumulating over £120M in debt FFS. Of that £10M debt in Agent Fees These parasites and their overpaid nestlings are bleeding the game dry
  3. Add Gary Mackay, Donald Ford, John Colquhoun and all the Buns of the East I used to work beside
  4. Yes Molde stadium looks very decent, as do many Scandinavian recent/new builds. I'd like to think MFC will think outside the box and give us something to be proud of, something which will stand the test of time and cement MFC's future in the top flight of Scottish football long after I'm gone.
  5. A 6,000 seater will not attract Junior semi's, Under 21 games nor league cup semi's or facilitate a Mauld Firm visit nor a big game for MFC. Way too wee imho
  6. You get plenty of them wee man
  7. Hear Hear. Swynecastle is never an easy place to get a result. That's us 4th, and I doubt Hibs will get anything from the Buns tomorrow, so 4th and a Euro spot is ours if we want it
  8. Almost right Gary ...... According to their web site, Season Ticket holders can buy up to 15 briefs from Monday at Victoria Park, then from Wed mid-day tickets sales go public with online sales being handled by Ticketmaster, but cash and debit/credit card sales will still be available from the ground. Ross County will also handle phone sales with a 10% handling fee. Ticketmaster will also charge a booking fee and almost £5 for secure postage ....... a wee tad steep imho.
  9. Popping into Dingwall on Thursday to get mine. £5 for kids ..... so I'll take my nephew along.
  10. Just champion Drew .................... great post imho.
  11. Motherwell fans have been a right fickle bunch in all the time I've been a 'Well fan. You have a point mate, but you must remember that people are entitled to their opinion ................ and it seems easier to post a negative one rather than a positive one. Mon the Well
  12. A wee tad different I'd also like any new build at FP or otherwise to have scope for supporters go use 7 days of the week, beit bars or eateries, or gymnasiums or meeting rooms, or snooker halls or something Motherwell doesn't have ..... a cinema.
  13. Agree. Other facilities could be with partner agencies though. As said above, Ravenscraig could eventually entice some decent sized businesses with the knock-on of other requirements .... leisure and catering for example.
  14. I think we'd all like to dream, and it's obvious none of us want a New Love Street style legoset. However, as Shaka has pointed out our dreams cost a lot of money. No one expects the Bernabeu, but I'm sure we want something to be proud of and not mocked like NLS. Something practical, pleasing on the eye and that will contribute to the long term financial stability of our beloved MFC would keep me happy. If that means embracing external partners in a shared campus up the 'Craig or wherever then so beit. I want our sons, grandsons, great grandsons and so on to be able to follwow MFC. Unfortunately I doubt that likely if the Club remains at Fir Park in its current guise. Just keep Bill Dickie and Barr Construction well well well well away please.
  15. Cheers folks ............. just trying to work out my first visits to Hampden, Ibrox and Parkhead.
  16. Anyone know where we played the semi-final against St Johnstone ? Also was the 1/4 Final Play-Off against Morton at Ibrox ?
  17. Have just discovered an area within Glasgow's Necropolis is named Fir Park. How apt
  18. St Mirren's old home once held almost 50,000. Now while I'm not suggestiong that those halcyon days of record attendances will return anytime soon, what happens when/if football in this country does experience a bit of a recovery, (gate prices are set at decent levels), the flat cap is once more fashionable and punters decide they wish to return to the beautiful game ? New Love St may prove to be too small
  19. what ever the deal was they were diddled getting that pathetic excuse for a football stadium.
  20. Did they actually get the cash though ? I thought it was a straight swap, old Love Street for the new place.
  21. Why ? Just because you're a ST holder ? What happens when the bogs are full ? You wait in line ......... exactly
