If Lamie is back, I'd go with him and Mugabi in the middle as they can both handle themselves when it gets physical. Sol is a big lad, but he doesn't really put himself about like those two and he's not the fastest to turn and chase balls in behind.

The difference between the SPFL - which is the league containing the Premiership, Championship, League One and League Two - and the Premiership, which is the top division. So Dundee are still playing in the SPFL. The confusion is because the old top division used to be the SPL which was separate from the lower leagues.

I wouldn't go as far as saying Aberdeen were outcoached, but it's difficult for any team to figure out what tactics to use when playing a team with a new manager and new ideas. Our movement on the ball and pressing off it definitely gave them problems. The bigger tests for us will come once teams have seen our new approach a few times and come up with plans to counteract it - but it's still more likely to succeed than punting long balls and playing for seconds.

In an ideal world my priority would be: 1. Left Back - don't like having right footed players in that position and we have zero cover 2. A number 9 for KVV backup 3. A central defender and in the fantasy world where we get 4 signings, a winger would be nice.

Lat time Livi beat us was Feb 2020. Last time Livi beat us at Fir Park is, I think, about 20 years ago. I think it's just the fact that they drag the game down to an unmemorable eye-bleeding level that makes it feel like our record against them isn't as good as it actually is.

I've liked they way Hammell talked about the game since he took over. Of course, as someone who has spent every day for the last 4 years coaching, it's not surprising he talks more like a coach than a manager, but it has been refreshing to listen to his interviews and good to see players responding to his ideas.

We're back! I was actually happy we were playing Aberdeen in this match just because the players might have been more confident from results against them last season. I was not expecting a win, though. Delighted.

I know Aberdeen have revamped their team, but I hope the fact that this squad of players won 3 and drew 1 against them last season gives their confidence at least a small boost.
