There's no doubt Griffiths was a top class striker. I'd be amazed, however, if he ever performs at that level again as he just isn't managing what appears to be mental health issues. Sadly, I've seen nothing in the past few years that suggests he's likely to fare any better with any other team. On one hand, playing football probably gives him a level of comfort and stability he needs. On the other hand, walking away from football for a year or two to focus entirely on his health might be exactly what he needs.

Not every player is a great tackler, and not every midfielder needs to be a defender. You need the balance between holding, box to box, and creative. I know people prefer different styles of play and have different opinions on individuals, but I still find it hard to believe anyone can watch a game and think that Maguire "lacks in so many areas and brings almost nothing". He's not perfect, but watching young players like him develop is one of the reasons I enjoy being a 'Well fan. He's definitely improved since GA took over and I was very happy to see him extend his contract.
