  1. I know we needed a bit of a shakeup, but not sure that line-up is the answer. Seems to be lacking in creativity.
  2. Kille and St Mirren couldn't fulfill their scheduled fixtures down to their severe breach of the Covid protocols. That was what was investigated and punished. Utd and Celtic are fulfilling their fixtures (although I thought Utd were being investigated). Calling off games is the key difference. Not taking action is unfair punishment on ourselves and Accies as we'd have to fit the games into the tight schedule and play them when they are back to full strength. Not only is that rewarding them for breaching the protocols, it would encourage other teams to call of games when it suited them, knowing there would be no consequence. This is a unique season where unique rules need to be applied. They need to suck it up and move on - and be grateful they didn't have to pay the fine.
  3. Most disciplinary systems allow an appeal. I expect the same outcome as Hearts relegation appeal, however, as the published decisions seemed to cover every point of contention pretty well.
  4. Have they hired Rudy Giuliani as their lawyer?
  5. We both know the answer to that. We've fallen back into our early season habit of not taking our chances. That needs to change soon and this game is as good as any for the strikers to get back into the groove.
  6. I see we decided not to put anyone in the left back slot again. Terrible defending on both side of the box for that goal.
  7. Checked the half times to see how Scott and Gorrin are doing in the Oxford v Hull game. Scott on the bench today and Gorrin's been booked.
  8. Better all-round performance than last week apart from our ability to score.
  9. Nobody coming to the front post. Two or three times the ball has come in to the front and all our players are at the back post.
  10. That's the same (reasonable) logic Colin Calderwood used about a minute's silence for Phil O'Donnell at a Nottingham Forest match, and he was slaughtered by many on here for his comments. We've started this game with a much better tempo than last week. Hope we keep it up.
  11. The Jock Brown/Lewis Irons dream team on the commentary today.
  12. Probably bring Long in for Cole and leave a bag of spuds on the bench for White.
  13. I don't know if it was this game, but I remember when he scored the winner in a 1 - 0 victory there. (I think it was when Bobby Watson was manager, so must have been the 83-84 season, which ties up with that kit).
  14. Aye, you'd have thought that was one of the easier things to implement at the outset. Either that or make sure players drive on their own to games. No shares.
  15. The full findings are an Definitely worth a read. The detailed reasoning of what happened, why it was more serious than the Aberdeen & Celtic incidents and exactly why this particular sanction was imposed , makes it hard to argue against.
  16. I'd imagine one of the reasons this took so long is that the review panel wanted to make sure their decision was legally water tight. I believe they typically have a judge involved. Much like the Hearts relegation, I can't imagine Killie have much grounds for appeal given they are a member who agrees to abide by whatever rules the SPFL/SFA enforce.
  17. In previous posts I may have suggested the SPFL were a bunch of toothless, incompetent eejits who were unfit to manage our game. I'd like to apologize for the error and re-iterate what a fine administration team is in place and praise them for their continued excellence. Seriously, though - that was a very welcome, if very unexpected, result. Trying not be biased, I think it's correct as there appeared to be some pretty serious breaches of the required protocols in both situations. The fact that St Mirren drafted in some additional staff to oversee their process backs up that opinion. EDIT: I see Killie are "taking legal advice" - but I thought the SPFL rules were pretty cut and dried in cases like this i.e. the independent panel is the final decision maker with no appeals allowed; legal or otherwise.
  18. Aye, I read a different article that said HMRC and Police Scotland had been informed. That can't be a good sign.
  19. Must be an incredibly complex decision they are about to announce with points deductions, forfeits and a whole new approach to dealing with this kind of issue in the future. Or a small fine.
  20. We really missed the energy of Campbell at the weekend. Left back is more of a problem because you can't just stick any defender in there and hope they can adapt. It's a more specialist position - as we have clearly demonstrated. Opponents have sussed that out and it's no coincidence that recent opponents have focused on attacking us down that flank.
  21. I agree they seem to have severely breached the protocols in place, and that there should be an appropriate punishment like awarding points (or even just deducting points from them). I just don't have much faith in the League taking any strong action.
  22. I don't think they'll be quietly dropped. I do, however, still think all that will happen is a token fine, possibly suspended. As Robinson said they other day, the biggest frustration is we've lost a couple of the few opportunities to play these games while this process dragged on. So we'll end up having to squeeze them into a busy month. Something that punishes us through no fault of our own.
