  1. Standard Livi entertainment. Excellent result. Only a minor eye bleed from the second half, so not a bad day's work.
  2. Lang looks like a victim of classic "foot sticking on pitch" syndrome.
  3. Looks like we're playing into the wind this half too.
  4. Mugabi was our best defender before he got injured. Long is better in a front two and I don't think we played Lamie in his right position in any match so far.
  5. Not sure if he picked up a knock or it just wasn't the game for him. Wasn't playing poorly, but White maybe a better option for the necessary agricultural approach.
  6. Watt playing like an old fashioned centre forward today and earned his poachers goal. Looks like he's enjoying his battles with the big Livi defenders and won more than his fair share.
  7. As I said last week, I can only start to feel comfortable when we have a 3 goal cushion. Our defence, however, has easily coped with what little Livi have offered in attack so far. Been a typical Livi game, but we've probably adpated better than in recent visits. Front three doing a good job in dealing with the physicality of the Livi defence. Need to keep at it the second half.
  8. Goal for Watt. Stinger of a free kick from O'Hara and keeper could only parry it. Watt first to react and stuff it in.
  9. Watt showing a different side of his game today, putting himself about up front. Half chance for Cole that he skewed wide about the only other thing of note so far.
  10. We only get home commentary on the overseas sub.
  11. Assist from Cole sent him through, but still had a lot of work to do to finish.
  12. Jet tries to lob our 12ft 6" keeper from the half way line. Fail.
  13. Pretty solid first 15 mins. Looking comfortable at the back and doing our best to play a bit of football when we can. Had a half chance when Bartley nicked off the toe of Polworth.
  14. That happens some weeks for me. Sometimes switching players fixes it. (I suspect it might be because Jock Brown is commentating from his house)
  15. No surprises so far. Livi keeper launching 70 yard balls for them to chase. Gallagher looking at home . Looks like we are mostly into the wind this half. There were fewer long kicks in the Wales Scotland rugby first half.
  16. I think we have a decent chance of points, I just think it will make my eyes bleed watching it.
  17. I'm looking forward to watching the Cup Semi more than I'm looking forward to watching this. It's a pretty sad indictment on the game when basically 100% of players and fans don't want to watch a game like this in what is supposed to be the entertainment industry, but the authorities are quite happy to let pitches like this be used in the top flight. I've been watching the BBC coverage of the FA Cup qualifiers and teams in the 9th and 10th tiers of English football play on better surfaces than this.
  18. If it turns out St Mirren were at it - although that would be difficult to prove - then I think a 3 - 0 forfeit would be fair under these specific circumstances. That has to come from the SFA, however, which is another process that needs to run its course. I can't imagine it would be possible to prove they were at it, however, so I imagine that the SPFL being the SPFL will just hand out some token punishment, and suspend even that. Meanwhile, the inevitable chaotic end-of-season comes another week closer.
  19. I don't expect much to come from these investigations apart from, maybe, a token fine or slap on the wrist. The bigger issue for me is to make sure there are some decisions made (and made soon) about how to handle this situation in the future and, of course, deal with the very real possibility of not being able to play the league to its conclusion. Not holding my breath, though.
  20. Politicians have looked down on football fans for as long as I can remember. In the last 50 years I can't think of more than a handful of them that were real fans of the game. As as a result, football has often been the whipping boy for their agendas and an easy scapegoat for societal issues. That's one reason they reacted the way they did to Marcus Rashford's campaign.
  21. A real pal would never invite you round to watch a game at Livi.
  22. Our official website has the 4 keepers (2 fit, 2 injured) listed in the first team squad, zero keepers in the reserve squad and PJ Morrison/Matthew Connelly listed as On Loan. I'm not even sure if we have anyone younger that is eligible to play in the senior squad.
  23. In the current environment I think we're trying to keep as many youngsters as possible actually playing rather than sitting on the bench. If this turns out to be another long term injury for Carson it makes sense to have an experienced back up. (and that's assuming we can recall any keeper that is currently out on loan).
