Reading the stories in the media and reacting to it (positively or negatively) is exactly what they want. When it comes to OF games, I don't even bother looking at the related stories for the week after because I know the kind of mince that's going to be in there.

I don't have any first hand knowledge of the situation, but the reporting at the time was along the lines of "the club has known about his intention to leave for some time" and "happy with the depth if youngsters at the club". The biggest difference - as we saw in our game against Celtic - is that against teams like St Mirren, Livi, St Johnstone, Hearts etc. when we give away a half-chance at the back or miss a chance up top it doesn't hurt us. Against a better team, they are more likely to take advantage of it with a striker that earns more in a year than our entire team's salaries combined. Despite his record against Celtic, Morelos is a bit more dangerous than Ikpeazu.

Big difference between playing a training game while resting players that are injured etc. than getting kicked off the park on a Wednesday night in Perth.

I don't mind the fortnight off, but could easily spread the other games over more than one month.

This will be the best Rangers team we've faced since they rejoined us as Newco (it's amazing what kind of squad you can assemble by going into £11 million additional debt every 6 months). It will be our best result of the season if we wrestle a point off them, but we are certainly capable of making a game of it.

Certainly an aspect of our game that Robinson pinpointed we needed to improve. We were definitely a lot more savvy in the closing minutes yesterday.

It was the opposite situation, but I remember being at a game at Somerset park when the ref gave an offside against an Ayr Utd player. A fan near me said, quite seriously "Just a well he was offside because we had nobody near him".

If any of the reporters want to know exactly why Mulraney was sent off, they just need to look at the MFC TV stream which had him on a full face close-up just as he was expressing his frank opinions to the ref. Safe to say he wasn't congratulating him on a decision well made.

Hard fought, but deserved 3 points. Won't be too critical of anyone today given the doubts we had over who was going to be fit to play. 9pts, 3 clean sheets and back into 3rd spot isn't too shabby.
